This was our second stay at Holme Valley, the first an overnight stop on our way back from Scotland. We were so impressed that we decided to come back with the caravan. Booking was simple and the person I spoke to was friendly and helpful. Our primary reason for this visit was to see family in the local area and spend time with our grandchildren. It was a great place to stay for this and we enjoyed a pizza from the camping stove on Friday. The crazy golf was a hit with our eldest grandson. The local area is well known to us now as we have been regular visitors for many years. Places we like to walk the dogs arr Scammonden reservoir and Honley woods, both safe with no sheep!The stie facilities were clean and well maintained. We stayed at Holme Valley Camping and Caravan park for our very 1st outing with our new caravan. It was easy to make our booking and after requesting easy access pitch as I was nervous about reversing we were placed in an ideal spot. Check in was really simple and all of the facilities were in perfect condition and everything we needed was close at hand. We went into Holmfirth and found it to be quite bustling and everyone we spoke to was really friendly. Overall we were very satisfied with our choice for our maiden voyage and will definitely be back in the future

Great value for money

This is great site for visiting Holme Firth. It's within reasonable walking distance or there are regular buses from the main road. Easy access with pitch details on a board opposite reception. The site itself is lovely, with a brook running across the back of the site. There's also a group of friendly ducks pottering about. Facilities are large and clean, with a code to get in, so feels safe when popping to the loo at night. We'll definitely be back

We chose this campsite initially because it is a 5 minue walk from where my in-laws live and we needed somewhere to stay while visiting them. I didn't expect the site to be as well put together as it was. All staff that we spoke to were very friendly and chatty. The site was clean and beautiful. Toilets and shower blocks were very modern and immaculate, and the water was hot! The best thing about the whole experience was all the ducks that come up to your tent every morning to say hello!

Me and my partner decided to go camping for the weekend. We choose this campsite due to the fact I had been multiple times when I was younger. Over the years I have watched the improvements grow larger and larger. The toilets and showers are highly maintained and extremely clean. The on site shop has lots to offer and is well priced. There is good food services onsite with a van on the field which sells cheep but very good quality food. The rules are fair with noise which works out when your a family and you don’t want loads of noise. Or if you are a group of friends who want to make some noise to a certain time which is very fair. Overall I would highly recommend this campsite and I will be coming back as regularly as I can.

We had a lovely stay at Holme Valley camping and caravan site, the facilities are great. The family bathroom hire was brilliant and will look for this option on other sites we visit. The shop had everything we needed (always forget something) the childrens play area was great for our young granddaughter and we all had a paddle in the stream. The only thing I didn’t like was the number of unsupervised children, some of them probably 4-5 years old. On the Saturday a number of them made a den in the trees behind us and although they were only playing they were very noisy for a full 6 hours, this is obviously not the fault of the site.

Perfect venue for our needs. Friendly staff. Clean facilities.

I was only in Holmfirth for two days to see the Mission gigs at the Picturedome. I decided to camp, which I hadnt done for some time, and cannot fault my choice of campsite. very clean toilet block, with excellent roomy hot showers. basics to buy onsite and an Aldi and Lidl a short distance away (walkable). Town centre is a half hour walk away, but there are regular busses to which I saw, though I preferredc to walk.
