We absolutely love this site. It is a beautiful small/medium site. It is very well kept and very clean. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating.Holmfirth is small town but has more of a village feel to it and is only a 30 minute walk away. It has lovely places to eat and drink. Not everywhere in Holmfirth is dog friendly which is a little bit disappointing but there are some.The only thing I would say could be improved is the access into the site from the very busy main road. There is a set of recycling/bottle banks right at the side of the entrance and locals park right at the side of it completely blocking access leaving you to wait with your hazard warning lights on on the very busy road which is not advisable as the road has double white lines in the middle which means you are not allowed to block the carriageway by law, or you have to drive past the site and turn around and come back. Also not advisable as there are very limited places to turn aroun

It's interesting about the number of dog-friendly places in Holmfirth, we had thought there were quite a few so I will look into this and aim to compile a list to make things easier. With regard to the glass recycling at the entrance, I am sorry this caused you problems - we can fully understand the stresses concerned with this. This is also the recycling point for our guests' bottles/glass and when they are emptied (by an outside agency) it is often early in the morning and creates a lot of noise! Therefore the site for the bins had to be well away from guest pitches, convenient for locals disposing bottles and for the larger vehicles collecting them. Interestingly, we don't receive much negative feedback about their location, possibly because most locals don't stop too long to empty their bottles. That said, however, we do understand your concerns and have discussed whether we could alter the entrance turn-around and re-locate the bins away from the entrance. This obviously requires a lot of work but would have a very positive impact - hopefully we can make it work. Thank you again for your valuable feedback - it is much appreciated.Best wishes, Naomi.

The site feels very safe, the accessibility is good, it has good links to transport and isnt far from the centre of holmfirth which has some great pubs and restaurants, the site always seemed clean the toilet laundrette and shower blocks were closed by and always kept impeccable Thank you to all the team, we were right next to the lake and the snow made it look lovely!

Absolutely lovely little weekend break in freezing January. The gingerbread cottage was delightful. Private bathroom a little walk from the cabin near the shop and reception, was clean large and warm. We visited during freezing weather and the stove was well used. They provided a starting amount of wood and then we bought additional as needed. The bed was really comfy. It was such a relaxing break. Pubs nearby in walking distance are ok but weren’t serving food when we went. Very lovely Italian restaurant however really close by. We went on some lovely nearby walks around a reservoir. Had a lovely time in Holmfirth looking round and having coffee and cake. The staff on reception were really friendly and helpful, we even got a chance to win a free stay by pulling the right piece of paper from a jar but sadly didn’t win! We would definitely visit again

The site staff were very accommodating of our awkward request to stay at a time when they wouldn't usually be open. The cabin was neat and clean, and the facilities were good. We only stayed a single night, but it was exactly what we required - very impressed.

We booked again but this time in the riverside pod. Even in the bad rain our stay was perfect. We have camped many times here and have future bookings for both camping and glamping. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else in Yorkshire. The peace, tranquility, beautiful views and fantastic location for both Holmfirth and honley just adds to the fabulous park and location. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Holmevalley really is the jewel of West Yorkshire 💚

I have stayed at the site many times, the site is surrounded by woodland, has a duck pond and towards the bottom of the site a strem. It is a scenic and attractive setting with good facilities, friendly helpful staff and is not far from Holmfirth.

Visited here many times before and as always a perfect break away. Everything about the site is top notch!! The friendliness and helpfulness of the the staff, the cleanliness of the site itself, the modern, spotlessly clean and warm facilities and the location. Therefore it comes as no surprise to me that they have just recently been awarded 'campsite of the year' by out and about live! Despite it being mid-winter, the site looked welcoming. The washroom block is outstanding, beng warm, modern, and squeaky-clean. We were there after collecting a motorhome, and will definitely book again when we return for annual servicing.Thank you.
