We loved staying on your campsite. The site is situated in a magnificent area within a few miles from the Hadrian Wall (sycamore Gap). It's a quiet campsite for the whole family. we especially liked the animals on the site. Our children would love it! We also liked the new glamping pods. The renewal of the sanitary unit is a succes! There was even a special pod for the disabled! And... we love your sauna!Greetings from Jan and Agnes

We absolutely loved it here and had a fantastic two days staying in one of the wee brave wig wams. Our pod and the shower and toilet block was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be returning!

Our stay in Northumberland

We were firstly surprised by the poor road access for caravans to the site from Haltwhistle. It wasn’t a problem but a warning notification would have been helpful. Very convenient location for visiting all of the Hadrian Wall sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and during our stay. All toilet, laundry and washing up facilities were excellent and regularly checked and cleaned. We would comment, we were on pitch 13, a lot if traffic passing us from the pods, some at great speed. We would suggest some sort of traffic calming outside the facilities block area.

Very clean, safe and sensibly sized site.

Amenities block spotless, the pitches are large meaning that there aren’t too many of them, washing up facilities are excellent. A lovely clean, quiet, friendly site.

HERDING HILL - HADRIAN'S WALL

Duxbury, Colin - 09/08/2022

Firstly, the advice from the owners to avoid the hill out of Haltwhistle when travelling to site was a sound piece of advice. We travelled from the east through Chollerford on the B6318, as directed, and that too is a roller coaster of a ride, but it is a good road.Arrival was friendly and very welcoming with ample space to park up outside the reception. We were directed to our super pitch which was in the corner of the site, next to the playground. Yes we could hear the children at play, but that's no bad thing, and the designated quiet hours were adhered to. The facilities are clearly modern and are excellent; I doubt it would be possible to see better. The hillside along the top of the site gives ample space to exercise dogs. This site is perfect for visiting Hadrian's Wall, which was our main reason for going. The Solway Air Museum is also good value and the £6 entry fee is worth it just for the opportunity to go inside the cockpit of the Vulcan bomber.

Third but final stay

Cooper, Lynne - 09/08/2022

Third time staying in the same glamping hut this time was so disappointing the hut was shabby with a loose blind fixture the hot tub was grubby and had scum on the water. This is such a shame as it certainly wasn’t like this pre covid the sight itself looked fine and I can’t speak about other facilities but unless there is some serious overhaul of the glamping huts I won’t be returning and unfortunately I couldn’t recommend to friends or family. To sum up over price under cared for

Stayed in the castle pod for 4 nights, had an amazing time. Staff on site are extremely friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was very clean and well prepared for our arrival. Hot tub is just such a bonus, very private and quiet site. Views are lovely! Well worth the money. Everything with the castle pods have been thought about includes everything you need, take food and drinks and you’re sorted!

The location is fantastic we went for walks along hadrians wall and the nearby Allen banks. We had a lovely week at herding hill. The children loved the little walk on the hill past the animals and the donkey was a highlight! What was nice was that everywhere was clean which really makes a difference. Everyone was very friendly and helpful the site is really well looked after. We will be back!
