First time glamping didn't really know what to expect was very impressed with our wig wam n hot tub everything was spotlessly clean . Location is great plenty of walks you could or just enjoy seeing all the different animals my 5 year old loved feeding them all the staff were great very friendly and helpful. All the basic shops within a 5 minute drive away at Haltwhistle supermarkets pubs n takeaway with Hexham only 15 minutes away if you want a few more shops. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing break will definitely be back next year.

Perfect getaway

Bennett, Kath - 02/10/2024

Absolutely wonderful. We could not have been made more welcome, and the flowers and chocolates for our anniversary were a lovely surprise. We stayed in a Castle Pod which was perfect: cosy, compact and well equipped, with lots of little touches to make the stay special: toiletries, logs for the firepit, fluffy towels etc. To cap it all off, on Fridays you can have pizza delivered directly to your pod.The hot tub was a real luxury, and the dark skies made it all even more magical - the location, and the quietness of the site made it ideal for stargazing. This is also a genuinely dog-friendly site: Colindog was made very welcome with treats, his own bed and lots of fuss.We will definitely be back - cannot recommend it highly enough.

Excellent

Stayed in accessible glamping pod. Very impressed with facilities, everything clean and warm, everything we needed was in the pod. Although we did not need to use it, we looked around the amenities block which was very clean and tidy. Although weather was not good, we were able to use the fire pit / bbq on one night, and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Bus very handy for Haltwhistle and railway station. Ordered food from the Fryery one night, this was delivered very quickly and was excellent.Hope to return soon when weather is better for dark sky viewing.

Amazing campsite

Hutley, Sharon - 01/10/2024

We have stayed in a multitude of campsite both in the UK and Europe and this one is special indeed. Sadly we only had time to stay one night on this immaculately kept site. We stayed on pitch 2 which was large indeed, with water and ehu right in front of a small goat pen.We loved watching the goats , doing their thing. There were other animals on the site too which was delightful. The facilities were spotless and the underfloor heated showers were great to come across in the morning. We could have chosen to take a bath too if we had wanted. I didn’t use the laundry nor the sauna but both would have been welcome if we had stayed longer. Staff were very friendly. On top of it all we had a fantastic, undisturbed sleep too. What more do you need?!

Great base for Hadrian's Wall adventures

Thompson, Christopher - 30/09/2024

Compact, well laid out site. Washrooms excellent, with proper power showers. Good information room which would also act as a refuge from the weather for tenters. Staff welcoming and friendly and very caring of their site. Well drained and firm hard-standing. Brilliant access to 122 bus for visiting Roman sites. Vindolanda is a must see, and there is an excellent 7km circular walk out of the campsite to a good section of the wall, stopping off at the Milecastle Inn for lunch or a drink (no dogs inside, fyi)

Wonderful place

Hill, Emma - 29/09/2024

Really wonderful place from the lovely welcome right through to the stunning views. It’s clean, tidy and cosy yet not cramped. It’s really close to Hadrians wall and so dark (shame it was cloudy when we were there). The animals and feeding time are a lovely addition and the indoor kitchen/seating area is great in the chillier weather. There’s also a lovely little shop with a few bits and pieces. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.
