We were allocated near the barrier,too much traffic coming and going until late at night. People giving out the code to the barrier when people asking for it,for us made the site unsecure.Cannot fault the cleanliness or location

Herding Hill is a lovely place to stay whatever the weather and whatever the time of year. It’s beautiful and restful and not too far from home. The walk down Haltwistle Burn into the town is magical especially in autumn. The AD122 bus along Hadrian’s wall is very useful as it stops right outside the campsite. Bus out and walk back via the Milecastle Inn.

We had a great stay at hearding hill farm, we celebrated our daughter’s 9th birthday with a hot tub.The hot tub was checked every day by the staff and upon arrival on the Friday our pod was decorated great for the birthday girl.The only issue we had was upon arrival I had to clean our pod as it still had dog hairs in from previous guests.We have a dog who is hypoallergenic so he doesn’t moult.Other than that it was a great stay.

Everything a touring caravan couple need. Great facilities great wardens and lovely animals. Especially coco the donkey.Will be back next year. Thanks again.

We had the most wonderful 11 days staying at Herding Hill Farn. Although it feels like a wild place set in the Northumberland Hills it's actually only a mile or so from the little town of Haltwhistle. With a great collection of animals: alpacas, pigs, goats, a Shetland Pony and a donkey, this is a 5 star campsite. Good, spotless facilities and extrenely friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay again

Great stay here everyone was so helpful and knowlegeable about the area etc. Its so lovely being close to the animals and the site and facilities are immaculate we will definitely be back soon.

Absolutely loved Herding Hill site. The location and the views are beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and very happy to chat, which added to the ambience. So impressed by the facilities. Loved the animals which I helped feed. The views from the dogwalk were amazing. Poo bags and bins were plentiful. Picnic tables were available to take advantage of the views. This site offered so much and in two days we barely scratched the surface. Have already recommended to my daughter and we will return Definitely 5* site

Booked a wigwam with hot tub for a 1 night break with my daughter. We had a fabulously relaxing time, she adored feeding the animals (absolute highlight of our stay!) and the hot tub was a great way to spend quality time together whilst looking up at the stars. Highly recommend the homemade pizzas, delivered fresh and hot to pur door.
