We had a lovely stay in this beautiful area. Staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful. The site is mainly level, a mix of grass and hardstanding. With some seasonal and holiday homes as well.. Pitches are well spaced, and washrooms are spotless. I have to give a apecial mention the ice cream, made on site. It was without doubt the best I've tasted. Only down side was the dishwashing and chemical emptying points are uncovered. Which could be a problem when raining.

Shame about the road being closed to enter the park directly . Friendly staff, nice friendly pubs within walking distance serving food,nice walks,one of the toilets was blocked had to use another all self contained showers etc but plenty of them

Really pretty site and (especially the toilets and showers) was very clean. Staff were polite. The site is quiet and pleasant, and next to a lovely lagoon which we took a really great long walk along, and was very fun to explore. It is right next to a lake with fun activities. Haverigg (nearest town) was pleasant and a Tesco's is 5 mins from the campsite. However, some nearby towns like Barrow in Furness (~40 mins away) are very industrial and none are tourist locations. This is of course not the fault of the site and won't impact people who just want to spend a week in nature, but it will affect people who will want to spend some time exploring urban areas too. Value for money was very good though.

Great campsite, next to the beach and coastal path. Nice walk round the lagoon to Millom. The coastal path to Silecroft is not suitable for most people, and badly maintained, better to walk on the beach if the tides allow it.

On our arrival there were road works and poor diversion signs to the site. On arrival the site was at medium capacity and the facilities were good, always available (toilets & showers). Second day numbers on site increased and a few people with dogs arrived (one being an XL bully which was not muzzled and was controlling its owner. We have a small dog and he was terrified of this dog : donkey. We were sited next to the path leading from the site to the beach. All the children on site passed by at all times of the day, being noisy and totally inconsiderate of other campers. Between the site and the beach / marina there was an access road which at night was used by lots of young drivers in noisy cars with friends doing what youngsters do!

Do not follow the Sat Nav to get to this site it takes you no where near. Very poorly signposted. The pitches are very close together and could be in a better state of repair however the toilet/shower facilities were clean.

Great location for casual walks straight from the campsite and as a base to explore the wider area. Ennerdale was a treat. We bought "throws" for the settees and frequently used the dog shower area to clean up our dog Peggy. Janice Burton's new guide dog, but any dog well behaved and groomed dog, is likely to have a great time here..

A very friendly welcome. The site facilities are excellent and well maintained. The heated wet rooms are brilliant and are cleaned twice a day! The location is good. Excellent dog walks with our whippets We loved the gelato too.Can’t wait to visit again

Staff very friendly and a very clean site with clean well kept showers and toilets and plenty of hot waterThe site is very dog friendly and the local ski bar serves drink and food and also dog friendly Some of the local pubs also are dog friendly,there is also a ice cream shop on site that does sell tea and coffee as wellNice safe site and will be going back again

The site is lovely and clean and well looked after, however slight issue is with the wardens not monitoring the site in regards to people thinking it’s OK to party to an unreasonable hour (midnight pitch 43 7th July) music playing and loud chatting!! I looked on trip advisor and it would appear that this isn’t an isolated case. I would like to come back to your site at some point but, please get a grip on this issue as it spoils an otherwise pleasant experience.
