Disappointed with the site, it needs tiding up and refreshing.

Booked last minute for a cheeky birthday night away. Really liked the site. Friendly staff clean facilities and great area. Lovely views and nearby shop and pub, ski bar on the lake was great food and drinks choices. Would recommend an will definitely be back.

The site lacks a shop and there is no wi-fi available could do with a club house as well

The site and staff are both lovely. Excellent views from the site, good washing and toilet facilities. Bar on site with ice cream parlour and regular pizza service visiting nearby. Great local fish and chips. Only downside is the amount of plastic and rubbish on the local beach. That's not the sites fault but it did take the shine off the visit. Otherwise lovely stay and we would go back and would recommend a stay.

We wanted to check this site out for camping next year, so we hired the Beachcomber static caravan for 3 nights to see what it was like. First impression was " Its a work in progress". The road through the site was just uneven hard-core but the kerb stones are in place ready for tarmac. We were definitely not disappointed though. We were met by a very friendly man who checked us in and a lovely lady who directed us to our accommodation. The caravan was spotless with a very comfortable bed and the site was so peaceful. We checked out the shower block and other camping amenities and they are excellent. A two minute walk takes you to another site that had a bar looking over a lagoon and has a really nice food menu.There are some really lovely walks and beautiful sunsets.I would definitely recommend Harbour Lights and I'm looking forward to returning next year with our tent.

Quiet site with friendly staff. Great for walks around Hodbarrow.Facilities very clean with a few shops within walking distance including an excellent Chip shop.

Lovely site righr by the river. Lots of wildlife. Would recommend, facilities adequate.

Visited for a 3 night stay in September. We had a disabled friend with us who has to use a mobility scooter to get around. Before he went anywhere we went round and checked everything was OK for him. There was one slight potential problem which we reported to reception and it was dealt with immediately. This site is in a fantastic location, about 20 steps away from a beach which is stunning. Lots of nice walks in the area and great for dogs. We do go into town where there is a really good fish and chip shop, a convenience store which is very well stocked and reasonable prices. There are two pubs and a club. We didn't go in the Harbour Hotel as this is not dog friendly apart from in the garden and it was too cold to sit outside. The rising Sun is lovely and was quite busy and a really good atmosphere. The club is very traditional but the locals are so friendly and you always get chatting with some of them. We will definitely be visiting again as its one of our favourite places.
