Stayed for a long weekend in our touer had a good stay loved the site and fishing the restaurant bar was fab the home cooked for fantastic well reasonable prices only thing that's was a bit of a problem was not enough toilets and showers but always clean
Love it here my husband loves fishing and I love chilling reading my book and dog walking only a short walk into Retford .. really relaxed place already booked to come back on the 14th May hoping the weathers as good as we had last week ☀️ x
We have stayed before and go primarily for the fishing. We stayed in the static which was fine apart from the kitchen equipment needs updating. No saucepans No cooking knivesNo proper glasses Also the mattress didn’t fit the bed and could do with updating. It wasn’t very comfortable.
Sad to say far to many speed bumps. 17 from main entrance. But apart from that lovely site
Me and my wife stayed here over the Easter break staying in our tent. Pitch was a good size with water and electric. We were here to fish and it is perfect for those who looking for a superb venue to do this. We fished Dawn till Dusk every day. We could vertually fall out of the tent at 6am and be on the bank of one of the lakes fishing straight though till sundown. The site is kept very tidy and well maintained with staff visibly busy every day maintaining the whole site to a high standard. All staff were welcoming and friendly. The tackle shop has everything you could need openning at 7am. Retford is a quaint market town centre and is a 20 min walk along the river from the site with a good selection bars and restaurants. They run a tight ship here, with the site rules making for a great no nonsense approach to ensuring all on site can enjoy a great fishing holiday. Thank you. We have already booked for another long weekend in June.
Another great stay at one of our fave sites a hidden gem staff are welcoming and friendly nothing is too much trouble lovely and clean and the breakfast in the club house is to die for can't wait to return later in the summer
Recommended by a friend, there was a bit of a mess up with pitch selection but soon sorted with reception. Great stay. Walked into Retford down the river bank. Lots of room for kids to play. We loved it and we didn’t even fish.
