The touring season at Galloway Point runs from March to October, offering a mix of hardstanding and grassed pitches that command stunning views across the Irish Sea. All pitches come equipped with electric hook-up points, with electricity included in the nightly tariff, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests.
A highlight of the park is its modern shower block, which features state-of-the-art facilities. The commitment to providing a comfortable experience extends to practical amenities like a separate dishwashing area and a launderette, complete with automatic coin-operated machines, dryers, and ironing facilities for the convenience of all guests.
Galloway Point Holiday Park goes beyond just camping facilities; it also offers a range of rental accommodations, including holiday homes and chalet pods. We were in our motorhome on lovely cliff top location overlooking sea great toilets and shower facilities
Reception staff were extremely helpful and park was easy to find. Well signposted.Located on a ridge, the grass touring pitches had wonderful sea views, were flat and well kept. The toilet block was very clean. Portpatrick village was less than 20 minutes walk via the southern upland way passing directly by Dunskey Castle.
First visit and very impressed. Welcomed by Annette who showed us van and said to contact her with any issues any time. Happy to say we had no problems at all. Static van was extremely clean, well equipped kitchen and plenty storage. Lovely kept park with friendly staff. Village of Portpatrick 15/20 min walk downhill so walk back can be a challenge if you have mobility problems. Great scenery though from top of hill and Dunskey Castle. Stranraer approx 15 mins drive for shopping, cinema, leisure centre. Immediately behind park is The Galloway bar for drinks and food if you don't want to go far.I definitely recommend Galloway Point for a great value break.
Could not fault toilets and showers spotless the only fault was the distance from my pitch to toilet plus disposing you gray waste not a problem if you've a caravan as you could use your car, but with a campervan with driveway awning different game,Other wise would use your site again if vasilities where just a bit closer walking not problem but in bad weather not to good.
This is a great place to stay. Not too far to walk into Portpatrick. The bar and restaurant on the road opposite the campsite is very good. The views from the headland is stunning on good weather days.
Another great stay at Galloway Point, first class location with everything you require just a short distance away, great pubs, great food and great entertainment, what more could you ask for. Looking forward to our next visit RNLI week.
Arrived late due to road closure but still met with a friendly face and shown to pitch .Had spoken previously regarding a couple of questions about booking and again very helpful. Great pitch with good views. Unfortunately weather broke from the wall to wall sunshine and we left slightly early. Facilities/toilets/shower rooms all very clean . Good value for money and really handy with a short walk with lovely scenery to Portpatrick where there were enough eating places and hotels to suffice for a short break.
Lovely caravan site, in a fab location. We stayed for only one night in our motorhome on the grass pitch with sea view. Pitches are very well spaced out. The coastal path is easy to access and it’s a lovely walk down into the village of Portpatrick. The site is well maintained and toilet facilities were spotless. Look forward to going back for a longer stay next time.
Fabulous views from the pitch we were allocated and toilet/shower facilities were spotlessly clean
