The site is overlooking the 12th C Dunksey Castle. A beautiful and easy walk along the coastal path will take you into Portpatrick where you will find a few pubs , cafe and a couple of shops. There's also an harbour where you can book a fishing trip or coastal trip. The shower and toilet block is always spotless and showers are lovely and hot. The grass is regularly cut and the site is kept nice and tidy.We will definitely return and highly recommend this small touring site.
Friendly team in this site where cliff top pitches offer views across the sea. Cliff top walk into Portpatrick in 20 mins and an off site pub providing meals to take away or eat in. Dog friendly with plenty of space between each pitch. Lovely site well kept and toilet block immaculate. Will be back!
Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Clean facilities, pitches with sea view and great location. Only a short walk to the village for cafe and pubs/restaurants. On Mull of Galloway long distance footpath so good walks accessible directly from site.
We'd been encouraged to visit Portpatrick so decided to book a pitch at Galloway Point for a night. The pitch was level and indeed had a view of the sea but the EHU point was a fair way away from the van. The staff kindly lent us a 25 metre lead so we could plug in. If I was to be picky, my only criticism would be that the facilities are a fair distance from the grass pitches. Everything there was clean, worked but wasn't close. However, the location was wonderful. Right next to Dunskey Castle for a historical looksee and a pleasant clifftop walk into town. A few beers and a meal at the Crown Hotel and we were set for the night. Nothing but the sounds of sheep...
We’ve been going to this location for over 40years and it’s still as good as the first time. We’ve stayed at Galloway point a few times and it’s got better every time.First time in a Pod this time, while kids and grand kids were on the site next door, safe & secure area for kids to play and explore. (Be prepared for all seasons weather, wellies, umbrellas, sun hats and sun cream/swimming suits) and you can’t go wrong.10/10 for site facilities & Pods.
Lovely clean site very friendly and helpful staff nice views from top of site nice walk into portpatrick which is a lovely place
The friendliest reception after a long drive was so welcoming. The access to the harbour had breathtaking views out to sea. The coastal walks all well maintained and the wild swimming was easy to attain. The toilets and shower block very clean.Everything was “no bother “ and they meant it ⭐️
Only drawback was toilet block is quite far from tourers. A nearer one would definitely benefit.
We found Galloway Point to be in a beautiful position with magnificent sea views and an extremely pleasant location to spend a quiet and cathartic break. The toilets and shower block was meticulously clean, tidy and warm. This is a site in a fabulous part of the country and I would defy anyone who would disagree. “ LOVED IT “
Immaculate park. Toilet block so clean. Only negative 3 showers. But don’t be put off. Scenery spectacular. Staff friendly. So near the town of port Patrick.
