Unfortunately I cannot write a review of my last stay at Dundonald Touring Caravan Park for the simple reason that I did not manage to reach Belfast on 6 April as my ferry from Cairnryan was cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. I telephoned to let you know and I requested a voucher so that I could revisit at another date. I am still waiting to receive this. In the meantime can I say that I found the booking procedure to be very simple and the people I spoke to on the telephone to be very courteous.
This is a handy site and the facilities are perfect and very secure . However the site appears to be being misused as contractors took up two of the adjacent pitches and one proceeded to valet his work van drenching the whole site and having emptied all the contents made the place look like a traveller site.
Website v easy to use for booking.Liked facilities, shower room warm. Great if you could add a hair dryer. Can't recall if there was a toaster but kettle, hot washing up water etc very useful.Great campsite
We always enjoy staying here & the facilities were immaculate however we did notice a big rat around the pitches so maybe some fresh pest control needed We did notice the caravan on pitch 2 completely closed up all weekend & had a bucket of dirty pots & dishes on the ground beside it & other cooking items & stuff aswell which possibly was the reason for the rat
Great site, good pitches, quiet, food outlets and cinema nearby. Good bus service from the city centre. Next to the site is a footpath/cycle path (old railway track) and we walked to the titanic museum and the Belfast city centre. Helpful warden and facilities always spotless. We arrived late and used the code provided to access the site so no problem as pitch already selected. Really enjoyed our visit.
Great location. Lots of nearby family activities within walking distance and plenty of restaurants nearby too. The caravan park itself was lovely - fully serviced hard standing pitch. Highly recommend this park and we will definitely return again.
Very clean campsite with clean showers and good laundry facilities. Bus into city stops very close by. Nothing else at campsite (like playground etc) but ice rink and cinema is a short walk away. The site warden, Steven, was a lovely man who was a great help on local knowledge. €43 a night is definitely at the top end of my budget for such a small campsite tho 😔
It was a good site to use for getting around the area.
Caravan park could do with an upgrade in washing facilities, also a play park or area for kids to kick a ball about would be great too. The ice bowl close by is a great asset also the cinema and restaurants close by too. The Comber greenway is easy accessible and we used it to walk home when getting the glider out out from Belfast
