Had to cancel due to bereavement, but no response from site

King, Alistair - 03/05/2024

Due to a bereavement the day before our holiday we had to abandon our holiday. I sent an email to cancel our stay at the Dundonald Touring Caravan site, asking if it was possible for a refund or credit (i.e. change dates) but there has been no response whatever. We've never been to Northern Ireland before and this lack of caring of our situation was very disappointing.Aistair King.

Quiet and well maintained

Clark, Paul - 02/05/2024

We were only there for one night having arrived on the ferry from Cairnryan. Friendly welcome, well maintained facilities, quiet and security conscious. Are returning there in a couple of weeks before leaving again on the ferry. Only problem we had was finding the site. A few more signs would be helpful.

do dot go near this campsite. gypsy campsite.

Maxwell, Mark - 02/05/2024

arrived to find the site over run with travellers and their very unruly children who made it quite clear from the start that we were not welcome, with intimidating language and mildly threatening behavior we decided to leave straight away and had to frantically look for another site that could accomodate us at short notice, thankfully we managed to do so. needs to be a full time warden here and proper vetting of arrivals at the gate. i urge anyone thinking of coming here to avoid avoid, Belfast is a beautiful city and Ireland a wonderful country but its occations like this that spoil an otherwise great holiday.

Just one thing... The keypad for vehicle entrance would be better if it was more visible. Otherwise a great stay

First visit

Jones, Anne - 29/04/2024

Everything immaculate both inside amenities and outside environment. My only suggestion is that the signs for amenities building be more obvious by locating them on the appropriate doors. I arrived tired and walked round the whole building trying to find the laundry. Sounds ridiculous I know but that was my experience!

Dundonald Guardhouse

Bailey, Raechelle - 26/04/2024

I found the numerous gates, locks and padlocks intimidating. The ‘guardhouse’ with its tiny little window, someone behind there? On the inside the park was lovely and clean. The staff member/s who assisted us were wonderful. The noise from the road was also disconcerting

Great site

Grant, Philip - 23/04/2024

Great staff & facilities. Clean & organised. Second time we've stayed here.A powered exit gate, when I'm using my disabled buggy, would be good as I cannot open gate & drive buggy at the same time.
