Family of 4 staying next to friends family. Amazing location. Caravan was warm and comfortable. Everything we needed. Directions and information all good. Facilities weren't available apart from bins and park but was all in good working order. WiFi was iffy for everyone. I had hoped to remotely connect to the office while I was there but it wouldn't allow. Mobile signal was ok. A good value week away. Ate at the sawmill and the screes. Both lovely.

We have stayed at Irt cottage many times and hope to continue doing so. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. We are always provided with a large supply of wood which lasts us all week. This is one of the small things that makes the stay so lovely, not to have to go out spending time finding wood from somewhere! We have two dogs and the garden is fenced all around. If you have an escape artist they may be able to get out between the fencing as it’s not a solid fence! WiFi works well, showers are good, pubs within a short walking distance, cafe next door which has lovely food. Tescos deliver to the cottage. The coast is a short drive away with a cafe serving the best ice cream. A trip on lal ratty train is a lovely adventure with good cafes at either end. And of course all the beautiful walks, many straight from the door or just a short drive away.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom static with colleagues before our charity hike up Scafell. Lovely caravan in very good condition and very clean! Owner kindly left us the lights and heating on before our arrival which was nice. Facilities good no complaints. Very close to a pub which does nice food and drinks.

Very quiet site just a short drive from Wasdale Head. Very quiet site. Very clean washrooms with excellent showers. Friendly staff too.

The campsite was clean, tidy and spacious, and being divided into small fields could accommodate a lot of people without feeling too crowded.Showers and toilets were clean and adequate, though I was there in October. How the facilities would cope in busy periods is open to question.The biggest negative, and what really spoiled my stay was the noise from what I think was the water treatment plant. This penetrating hum was audible throughout the site. On my first night I was camped within 30 metres of it and it kept me awake for much of the night. In the morning I moved my tent to the farthest corner of the site. It was still clearly audible but just about possible to ignore.I live in a city and am accustomed to a level of background noise. One of the main reasons for visiting a place like Wasdale is peace and quiet. Sadly, I didn't find it at Church Stile campsite.

Lovely campsite, we stayed in a pod, the heater warms the pod quickly, plug sockets as well usb ports very handy. Picnic table outside and parking also very good. Clever lay out of the site with hedges and trees gives each area a cosy feel even though its a large site. Good sized campervan pitches. Facilities were clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Walks straight from the site. Pub nearby. The site wasn't over manicured which made it fit in with the surrounding scenery. We will definitely return.

Good facilities friendly staff

Really impressed with Church Stile Farm. Large site but very spacious pitch, good clean facilities. Well stock farm shop/reception. Only 20 mins easy from Wasdale for Scaffell Pike hike. Went in late September so quiet and peaceful, I don’t know how busy it would get in summer but still I expect it to be a great place to stay. Last but not least, there are a couple of pubs just by the entrance, went to the strand and was exactly what we needed after a hard day walk, good home made food, generous tasty portion and nice atmosphere.

Friendly and helpful staff. Overall the site was very tidy. Showers were on a timer, which could have been set just for a bit longer. Showers and toilets very clean, just the general building itself inside was looking a little tired. Handy location for an excellent pub and a cafe just another short walk away. Would definitely stay here again.
