Booked a short stay to explore wells and cheddar.Caravan was nice and spacious and the hot tub was great.Downside was the caravan could of been cleaner, my wife and I spent the first part of our holiday cleaning up..Also the walk back from the pub was treacherous, no footpaths and taking your life in your hands..
Great facilities. wonderful staff. An all round great holiday in a beautiful part of the country with plenty to do on site and the surrounding areas.
Upon arrival we were met by Sally in office who was very helpful and gave us all information required very good, caravan was very clean and tidy with all you need towels bedding toiletries kitchen well equipped with everything walking around site was a pleasure very clean and tidy in all areas bar and restaurant very good, bar staff excellent, chefs excellent, food excellent, prices very good and competitive, Sally and Gary the managers were very sociable and very hard working as all other staff are swimming pool clean and tidy holiday home prices are very good even in peak times we were so impressed after one nights stay we booked again straight away for this year which we have not long been back from we also have booked again in a couple of weeks time this will be our third time this year well done Gary, Sally, and all the staff who keep the park excellent for us visitors (the site also accepts dogs) Kevin
Bucklegrove Holiday Park is in a beautiful setting and the site is well set out for access to facilities/ site office/ restaurant/ pool/ play area. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a pet-friendly caravan which unfortunately helped me to discover that I am allergic to whichever pet had stayed there before us.I loved that washing up liquid, dishcloth and tea towel was provided as it made for a much easier arrival. The shop was also great for being able to pick up the few forgotten items and fresh milk. The site felt safe for my young children to wander around. One evening was particularly noisy - there was a live singer. Due to the hot weather, we had to have the windows and doors of the caravan open and the music was loud enough to keep our children awake and went on until nearly 10pm. Every other night was quiet though.Location was fantastic for being close to Wookey Hole, Wells and Cheddar Gorge, all of which we enjoyed visiting. The value for mon
A lovely stay for 7 days, good price for August in a caravan. The caravan was a bit old and a few tatty bits but first stay we have ever had that had towels, oven mitts, soap and loo roll provided (we brought it with us as usual as you usually have to bring these) so was a pleasant surprise. I had previously visited with a tent in mid September 9 years ago so roughly knew what to expect. We generally tend to use our stays as a base, constantly out visiting and exploring the area around us. Bucklegrove is perfect for this, in a central location to see all the keys spots of Somerset. Great evening entertainment and restaurant though we didn’t visit much as out and about. Small pool but perfect for a morning swim and relax. Kids area is great for smaller children though lacking something for older ones. Everything was clean and tidy, staff were lovely and helpful. Not an all ‘bells and whistles’ site but exactly what you need for a simple stay to really explore beautiful Somerset.
Fantastic entertainment, swimming pool is lovely. Staff are amazing... clean site. Beautiful well kept and family friendly site cant fault at all. Look forward to next visit we travelled 4 hrs and wasnt disappointed
Very close to Cheddar Gorge, surrounded by different places to visit so not far from next adventure. Has mobile home's, tent, pod and caravans. Facilities kept nice and clean. Pitches quite close together. Only one lot of facilities we're disabled friendly they are just after entrance to site. We were situated on Tent pitches quite a walk from them, down a slope, even though I had specified disable was very close to other facilities, but had a step into them. Site kept well maintained. No dog walk on site.
Overall such a tired site, from toilet blocks to the pool area, could do with modernisation. One staff member on reception was incredibly rude when I asked to move pitch after a night next to the men’s toilets with a loud hand dryer going until 11pm and loud flushing throughout the night! Was never fully booked with several vacant pitches but were made to feel an inconvenience for wanting to move after paying a lot per night to be sited by a toilet block when other pitches were free. There was rubbish through the ‘animal grove’ and the facility blocks were very very outdated for the price paid per night. Pool was incredibly small and again very outdated surrounding. Wouldn’t recommend and for the first time can say the worst site we’ve been to in all our years touring.
We were a party of 4 tents and a campervan with a first time camper aswellSite was clean and well looked after with decent size pitches at good valueResturant was good quality food, reasonably priced and good portionsEntertainment was good swimming pool excellent Staff were friendly and helpful and had a sense of humourGood locationLoved our stay and will definitely return
