Very well kept everything was good apart from the pitch which was a corner full of pebbles no grass not good on dogs paws especially when it’s hot
Every time you go to Browns Campsite you are given a warm welcome by very friendly helpful staff, with excellent clean facilities. We love going there.
Excellent campsite would highly recommend good value for money excellent location makes it more appealing with a great pub on site. The only criticism I have is the pitches are too close together.
Good campsite with excellent facilities. Perfect location for access to beach and local bus services to nearby towns. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Good local pub near entrance to campsite.Amenities very clean and well maintained.Only downside is the size of the pitches. To access one side of my motorhome I had to walk on the neighbouring pitch. 41 pitches is too many. I will be back but not when it is quite so busy.
Probably the best serviced and cleanest site we’ve stayed on during a three week tour of Britain. Close to the lovely Cayton beach and with an onsite bar serving good food and drinks. Nearby village has one good restaurant and otherwise a jaded look. Office only stays open until the last pre arranged check in, so call ahead if you have to change your arrival time.
Site is easily accessible, is in a great location, has lovely staff and is very clean. The only issue I had was how hot the water (which can't be adjusted) is in the showers. I couldn't stand underneath it and even trying to splash myself with the water was difficult, it was way too hot. A family has visited recently too and they had the same experience. It doesn't need to be quite so high.
We usually chose CL sites this was our first larger site of 41 tourer. The corner pitch we chose, suited us well. Overall the quietness was unexpected, it was perfect. We do not use the toilets or shower but went to look at them and they were spotless. The provision of beach equipment for the children was a lovely touch.Overall I would highly recommend this site, it is close to the beach and offered good sized pitches with helpful friendly staff an ondsite pub with food every day.
We have been to Browns before in a motor home and thoroughly enjoyed our time then. This time we went with our caravan and our pitch was much further into the park. As I stated in the title off this review, it was very busy. We felt at times that the area for tourers felt and look more like a caravan storage area mixed with a carpark, it was very congested. On the positive note, the toilets and showers are spotless. The only moan is that the temperature was scolding at times. Park is always maintained to a high standard, staff are friendly, helpful and reception is open daily 9am till 4. The Tow Bar pub just at the entrance of the park is a great place to eat and dogs are welcome. The dog walk is a blessing.
We have stayed here a few times now and we love it. Friendly welcoming staff, clean facilities but showers are still way too hot for us with no option to turn temp down especially in the hot weather so I used the family shower room , in the other block. The Tow Bar is a fantastic place to have a few drinks and a nice meal. Dog friendly and the staff are wonderful. Bus stop right outside to Filey/ Brid & Scarborough. Ten mins walk to Cayton Bay beach. Brilliant tourist info room with books, toys, dvds etc to buy and money goes to charity , nice touch.
