Unheated shower block

Flanagan, Lesley - 04/12/2024

Stayed on this site many times in our MH and its always been OK. Last winter we stayed and there was no heating in the small shower cum toilet room. I accepted that as a glitch. We stayed this year on 26 November to 29. We were told the small private room was closed as there were only 3 on site including us but the main block was open . I noticed during the day the block had no heating, again not an issue during the day for the toilets. At 1830 I went for a shower .The water was hot enough but it was too cold to shower with nowhere to change. I reported this the following morning. The male attendant said it should have been on in the evening and the morning. I will have look. It was not fixed upto us leaving on the Friday morning. Bearing in mind there were only 2 others on site so I see no reason why I couldnt have been contacted to give a reason or to open the other block . Very disappointing stay. I know it was the last week but full price was paid and full facilities were expected.

This was our first time at the site. Very clean facilities along with excellent spacious pitch. Very level and all hard standing. On site pub/restaurant was also very nice. Bus stop is directly outside the main gate of the site with buses in each direction towards Scarborough or Bridlington.

Friendly professional staff and lovely food

Powell, Nicki - 19/11/2024

We really enjoyed our stay at Browns , the staff were friendly and helpful and we got an invite to the end of season party for the owners! This was great fun with live music and plenty of food! The touring area is at the top of the site and has easy access to toilets and showers. There’s a bus stop outside the site with a regular service to both Filey and Scarborough. The small town of Cayton which is just under a mile away has shops, pubs and a fish and chip shop and worth a visit. The bay is accessible down steps and quite steep road so bring walking gear and expect a walk back up with your buckets and spades!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Very tidy site. Apart from the grass had been cut too low and churned all the soil up. Towbar was lovely and homely , staff very friendly too. Towbar lovely and warm also dog friendly, everything for them water bowls and treats everywhere 🙂 Although we don't have a dog but our friends did , nice to be all together with the dog too.Didn't eat in the Towbar, but everything looked really good We Organised meals before arriving, probably won't **next time "*. Few minutes to the beach and 20/15 min in to Clayton, with couple of shops including a post office that opens to 9pm if you need cash out, The Star pub. Cosy open fire, nice wine and lager. See you soon x

Smith, Roger - 16/11/2024

Over the years we have stayed here more times than i can remember, this was our fourth visit this year, as always the site was clean and well kept, good facilities and well situated with Scarbrough, Filey, Pickering and Malton within 5 to 20 mins drive away with Whitby Bridlington Helmsley etc an additional 10 to 20 mins ion top. The Scarbrough-Fily- Bridlington bus stops right outside the main gate, if you don't fancy going into one of the Towns for a drink and a bite the Towbar Pub adjacent the main gate is an excellent alternative without leaving the site, we'll be back again when they re-open In March 25
