We stayed for 2 nights, it was lovely and peaceful and the staff at reception were so friendly. Only a few minutes walk from the village which had a cafe, bar, chippy, and shop. There is a Chinese on site which was handy. Toilets and showers were very clean, only negative would have been the sluice was particularly bad the day we left and the tap didn't have a hose attached which is handy for emptying the chemical toilet.
Would highly recommend Ballyronan Marina everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy and very peaceful we will definitely be back soon!
Stayed for 3 nights with young kids, safe campsite with good facilities and a great park. Bring fly repellent if staying around April/May time (Lough neagh flies to be expected). Would definitely recommend and we will return in the future.
Had a couple of lovely nights at balyronan.Campsite clean and tidy, as was toilet/shower block.Staff friendly and informative.Johnny fox bar a great place for a pint and chippy next door delivered to bar.All and all a good wee get away
Beautiful, well maintained site in a fantastic setting. Facilities were spotless and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great pubs and cafes a 5 minute walk away. We will definitely be back!
Our first time visiting Ballyronan Marina and Caravan park but it won't be our last.It is a beautiful part of the world and very accessible from the Derry to Belfast road. Location on the shore of Lough Neagh is a real treat, which was undoubtedly helped by the great weather.Facilities were very clean,.the pitches are nicely set in a small cul de sac. Staff were absolutely fantastic throughout - very friendly and only too happy to help. Wee bit of noise from young lads carrying on in the middle of the night but that's outside the control of the council I guess. Overall, a great place to visit and excellent value for money. Will definitely be back. Thanks!
We had a good pitch with a great view over the Marina for our motorhome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a great playpark for the children. There wasn't an easy access to a grey water drain which we needed as we had to empty it before returning it to the hire company and there was only one tap for the top site (we had been in some other campsites where there was one per pitch). Overall, a good experience.
The area/location and staff are great, the potential to be a fantastic Marina is there, but unfortunately the Marina its self is in poor condition with many parts of the jetty rotted away or missing, there is poor access for boats due to jetties adjacent to slip ways being out of action/closed for years now, this makes it hard for getting boats in and out of the water, the concrete slipway on the beach for launching dinghy's has crumbled away, and the silt build up at the mouth of the Marina causes sail boats with keel to ground on occasions. Last year, 2025 was very bad due to weeds being allowed to build up, causing many sailing events to be cancelled.Ballyronan Marina was the jewel of Lough Neagh, and could be again, but it needs investment to bring it back to its former glory.
Staff very friendly and very helpful. And very patient. Thank you.Blue green algae a constant concern, as not able to swim in the bay without getting very ill.Marina falling apart. Wooden blocks and posts rotting. They either need capped or replaced.
