Great base to do some exploring in the area before moving on. The pitches are a good size, excellent clean facilities, with the added extra of a coffee stop and excellent pizzas on site. Friendly welcome and overall very pleased with our stay.
second time staying in Ardtower, Elaine and staff (very rude of me forgot to ask the ladies name, but our daughter loved the roll you made for her) are fantastic, really helpful, homemade pizzas made on site, with breakfast rolls in the morning.Site and facilities are wonderful and clean, pitch was level. On outskirts of Inverness, can either walk 1hr (lovely day for a stroll past the new UHI campus), or get number 3 bus which takes 20 minutes, bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the site, there are timetables at reception.
Customer service 100% from Elaine and the pizzas on the nightime were out of this world. The views were out of this world.will be back 100% and have mentioned to everyone that asks.if anyone is doing the NC500 this is the place to start
My wife and I have stayed here a few times and it is very clean and well maintained with very friendly staff.Lovely cafe on site that does breakfast rolls etc and pizzas in the evenings but is closed on Wednesday.I would recommend this site to anyone wanting a nice quiet break. You can catch a bus into Inverness with a bus stop a short walk from the site,or if your feeling fit you can walk like my wife and myself did one day and we’re both over 65 😊
Very clean and tidy and easy to access Inverness from
Easily accessed from main road. There are many attractions nearby and bus stop close by which takes you into Inverness or Culloden moor. The facilities were first class although I missed a privacy cubicle for cleaning teeth or having a wash. Will certainly be back
We have stayed here several times, as it is a useful overnight stop for us en route from home to points south. We have stayed here in all types of weather, from the ferocious Storm Gerrit in December 2023, and the beautiful weather of early April 2025, with the most amazing sunset over the Black Isle. It was odd to see the van next to ours with its screens in place from the time they arrived, shutting out the beuatiful view as well as the sunset. It takes all sorts. The shower block is always clean and warm, and the underfloor heating is very welcome in cold weather.
The best campsite bathrooms I’ve ever used! Warm, background music, new/modern, immaculately clean and a great hair drying area. Lovely views. Easy access to Inverness. Taxi only £12 each way.
