Half way through large group came, very noisy, dogs roaming and toilets were disgusting. Site needs overhaul oftoilets and showers which were covered in black mould! They need cleaning much more than once a day. Staff were helpful and did clean them when I asked. There was no soap for 2 days and no plugs in sinks!! I should imagine that it is much more tranquil when it's not the 1st week of the school holidays! Sunday lunch in Bistro was excellent. It is a beautiful site and lovely and handy for Llangollen. Pod was adequate but the floor was dirty. Had to wipe it before could put anything in it! Staff were great. Very helpful if you needed anything.

I would like to suggest implementing regular and standardized cleaning for the toilets and bathrooms. Having a scheduled cleaning routine—especially during peak hours—and ensuring supplies (like toilet paper and soap) are regularly replenished would significantly enhance the overall hygiene and comfort of the campsite.

Had the best time here. Eveything was clean and tidy. Bistro is good value and the food is lovely, the added feature of a free bouncy castle is great too. Lots of beautiful views and the abbey is a great historical feature.

We loved it here! Family of 11, 6 adults 5 kids all had the best time together. Great facilities and lovely staff. The abbey is great at night too and the milkshakes went down well with everyone, great pizza too! Thanks for a good time

Have stayed here many times over the years and have always loved it. This year I felt a bit disappointed. The toilet and shower facilities were disgusting. Think they may have had a quick clean in the morning but by mid-afternoon the sinks were filthy and most of the toilets were blocked. The showers were at most a tepid drizzle. Only one shower can be used at a time otherwise no water comes out of any. The communal dishwashing area was just as filthy & the sinks were full of rotting food. We had a verbal altercation with some off duty staff over a flimsy net set up by the children to play badminton. We were informed we would start a fire and be responsible for putting them out of work.Would love to stay again however the facilities need a full upgrade and need to have better maintenance.

Family friendly site and lots to see and do around. Food is really good in the Bistro and staff are very friendly and helpful. Local attractions great with plenty of walks to be had. Town centre is really quaint and waterfront is specatular with kayaks going down stream.

We stayed for 2 nights camping and all really enjoyed it. I had to change the booking twice and even the arrived a day late and the staff were very understanding and helpful with it all. The facilities are really good and the onsite bar/restaurant is very, very good. The kids loved making their milkshakes and we all, had a fantastic time. That was our second visit and there will certainly be a third.

Beautiful place to stay, close to the town, the waterfall and horseshoe pass for sun set. Only complaint was the toilet/shower block needed to be mopped/cleaned more often at busy times.

The site was in a great location just 5 mins drive from Llangollen or you could walk along the canal. Stream running through the bottom of the site, great for paddling in. Quiet after 10.30pm. We stayed in End Cottage, great value for money. Loved the hot tub which was checked whilst we were there too. Property was clean, though a little tired. Could do with redecorating, some of the flooring & skirting boards damaged, bathrooms looking tired. Staff were friendly & helped whenever we had a query. The bistro did amazing food, but we nearly missed out on eating there as the board outside said call for reservations, after trying several times during the day as we were out we couldn’t get through. Luckily we got back around 7 & they fit us in as the last diners of the day. The crispy chilli beef was perfect! My sister & her family had a campervan in the big field. Great for kids to play in. She said the showers were cleaned on Mon & Thurs. I’d expect this to be needed daily.

Great time with family and friends. Love everything about it.
