Very clean Helpful staff Only annoyance was the road jump and I forgot my hose for water Toilets had cold water Everything else great
We booked for 2 night in a deluxe pod as a family of 4. The pod itself was clean and well equipped & the onsite facilities were great. The bistro gives an excellent option for food & drink and the setting of the site itself is lovely.
Stayed in the mega pods with my family and friends joined us in other pods. We all had a fantastic time. Very clean and tidy site. Staff were all lovely and friendly. We’ll all be booking to come back soon
We stayed for two nights and had a great time. It was pretty quiet as we stayed in April. We were extremely lucky and had great weather for our stay. The abbey was situated just behind us and we had a look in there. There was a nice stream/brook area that the kids could paddle in. A good size field opposite us that the kids could play on. The kids enjoyed the milkshake from the vending machines, although I would call them flavoured milk as they don't have the thickness of a milkshake. We walked in to Llangollen which took around 45 minutes with three kids and a dog, and had a walk to Horseshoe pass, which took about 30 minutes. You could definitely walk them both quicker without young children. We never accessed the Bistro/bar area. The toilets and showers were clean and the showers were hot. The kids are asking when we can go back and we will definitely look at booking again at some point.
Lovely site with great staff. Bistro food is good. Location is wonderful amazing views with Llangollen close by what more do you want.
Wonderful to be able to explore the historic landscape by walking from site to Llangollen and Plas Newydd, Eliseg's Pillar and of course the Abbey. The touring site was very quiet during our midweek March visit and our request to move to a grass pitch with more space for our large caravan and dogs was helpfully accommodated. We enjoyed the local ice-cream vending and the washing facilities were good. Would definitely visit again during quieter season.
Great location and walking distance to town and hills. Facilities all good and friendly efficient staff. Nothing to fault it.
Everything you need clean friendly helpful staff great location enjoyed my stay there.
Has lots of space and a really nice new ish little pub, the ruins there make for great scenery, pitched up on the bigger field, which has a big stream filled with rocks and other greenery that you can sit by or even take a dip in, shallow enough for smaller kids to splash around in with parental supervision, and if you walk further up a hill you can get a great view of the whole campsite and the hills surrounding the area, lots of flat land to pitch tents on as well as room for camping vans etc.
It’s setting is stunning the toilets are clean but very tired the roads /tracks are appalling (every time a car or one of the many Quads or tractors go by you get covers in dust) the afore mention travel way to fast and the bistro and the reception are shoddy and don’t give a good first impression. All of this is a great shame and they aren’t doing the beautiful area justice
