After being recommended this park by a camping group, me and my wife were really looking forward to our week here. Upon arrival here the first thing that stood out, was the main building and how out dated and run down it looked. We honestly thought we had pulled up to the wrong place. I popped into the reception, which was in the bowling alley, where we were met by the manager. He explained where our pitch was and gave us a piece of paper with the map of the site on. Outside a lady opened the barrier and let us in. Both were very friendly. We arrived at our pitch and it soon became apparent that the pitches were not cleaned in between guests. The grass area where the awning goes was covered in litter and drug paraphernalia. We soon got set up and went for a drink in the club house. The staff were very friendly and drinks were very well priced. Unfortunately the next day upon going to the shower rooms, it went down hill. The ladies toilets were filthy and remained so for the remainder of our stay. There are only 4 showers for the whole of the campsite, thankfully it was not that busy whilst we were there. But I can imagine headaches in the busy months. And only 4 toilets for the ladies and 2 for the men. The one good thing is the beach. It is a stones throw away and beautiful. You can walk along it on the coastal path and you can be in Rhyl within 20 mins or Prestatyn in 20 mins the other way. Both towns offering plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. There is nothing around the site apart from a pub serving meals and a couple of shops across the road. We probably won't return to Ffrith, as it really needs a lot of updating and a good clean.
