This is the second time we have been to Ffrifth beach and it did not disappoint . Staff are great and very friendly, the young groundskeeper is very helpful and didn’t complain when woken up so as my daughter could take son to A and E , he even came across next day to ask how he was. Nothing is too much trouble for any of this staff . Fantastic beach and great dog walks , even better you can take dogs with you to the pub. The park is a working progress but well worth every penny . Will definitely be back as soon as it reopens next year . Cannot wait

"Second visit!"

The toilets and showers were spotless at all times, however, they do need more for when the park is busy. The bowling alley and bar were excellent and great value for money. Finally, as with the first visit the staff were brilliant throughout, always friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend the park to others and am excited to see how the proposed developments take shape.

"Nice enough park and convenient for the beach."

The main reason for visiting was to run the dogs on the beach which they love. We wanted somewhere easy to get to and close to the beach. As we’d never been before and most sites were closing for the winter on the weekend we wanted to go, we booked here. It was cheap enough and easy to book. Getting there was easy from Shropshire but sat nav does take you through some country lanes if you let it. My advice is stick to the A roads as it can get hairy with a 24ft caravan in tow! On arrival it was somewhat confusing as there is a height restriction to enter the amusement arcade car park which the site is located at the back of. The reception is actually the bowling alley which was also a bit odd initially. You get given a tap head for your water and a token for the amenities building. When driving down you notice that the car park has been divided off and the site has kind of been placed in a small area at the bottom with a small amenities building, mainly grass pitches and a handful of hard standing pitches, with a secured gate to a path onto the beach. We had a hard standing pitch which was pretty hard to get into as we don’t have a motor mover and there isn’t enough room to manoeuvre a larger caravan in. The plots are also quite close together. Our pitch had a 16amp supply but a number only have 10amp. To say it was the end of season and we arrived on a Thursday there were a lot of kids there playing on the disused section of car park. We also had three families turn up together in our area with loud unsupervised kids which continued until late. The amenities block is ok and quite modern. Ther toilets weren’t always the cleanest and the toilet paper not the easiest to get at but on the whole quite good. You have to pretty much keep you hand on the shower button to keep it going as it only runs for a few seconds at a time. There aren’t many bins, just 4 wheelie bins for the whole site, one of which is recycling. The black bins were often full. We also noticed dog owners hadn’t picked up after their dogs in a few places. There is no shop on the site as it is quite small but there are shops near to the entrance. Prestatyn and Rhyl town centres are only a few minutes drive in either direction. The beach is really nice and it was quiet mainly when we were there. Most people had dogs off the lead for short time at least. It’s a nice all on the purpose built path along the front and there is a common next to the site that people seem to walk dogs on too. The amusements, bar and bowling facilities looked quite good in terms of entertainment although we didn’t try them. We would think about going back again out of the main season, during the week and not in school holidays. It was a nice, convenient, cheap, short break on the whole.

"The manageress deserves a bonus"

Mr K Parker - Stayed with family, Oct 2018

Always polite and smiles for everyone . She seemed to be everywhere you went and didn't stop working . Any problems were sorted straight away not palmed off with excuses . The only problem she could not do anything about was the lighting around the site . This was totally inadequate to walk from camp to toilets or up to bowling for entertainment You could not see were you walked so had to stick to middle of road to avoid tripping on uneven and broken slabs on the path .

"Grandchildren loved it!"

However, needing to make a phone call to a gate keeper to enter and exit the site seems archaic to me. Having toured Britain and most of Europe, I have never had to do this. On a short stay with twin seven year olds and lots to see, we spent a lot of time waiting to be let out, or allowed back onto the site.
