Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.

This area is quieter and more secluded as well as being close to the Orchard amenities block (Please Note: There are a few steps up into the building so it is not suitable for disabled access).
The Orchard is shielded by hedges and has a selection of both old & new apple and plum trees - many of which are local heritage varieties.

The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.

Stayed four nights, over the May Bank Holiday. We've stayed before and always enjoy the peaceful site and surroundings. Would stay again as we like the location. We have a non electrical hook up, so are completely reliant on the facilities. The showers in the old block are not fit for purpose, and even the newer block is looking tired. The floors could use a pressure wash for example, for a deeper clean. The area for washing up is really good and the water is hot. Also the freezer for ice packs and the vending machine for treats at a reasonable price. Canal is lovely for a stroll. Frampton on Severn is a great location and the food in The Bell is top notch. The roast in the Tudor Arms was great as well.
Stayed in the orchard; a little cramped but nice and quiet. Shower/toilet block dated but clean. Nice location for a site with lovely canal walks with the dog.
The park is a good size and perfectly placed for walks along the canal. The pitches are a good size and there is plenty of choice for pitch types (hook up, hardstanding, just electric or grass pitch only). They are very dog friendly. The toilets and showers are central so within easy walking distance from anywhere on the park and they are very clean and warm.
We stayed once again at the great site. Next to the canal which is wonderful for dog walks. The facilities are kept clean and tidy. The guy who cleans is always friendly and helpful. We look forward to many more stays here which is only around 40 minutes from the storage unit.
We stayed at Tudor Park for a long weekend. What a great site! Helpful friendly staff who were able to offer first aid when needed! Facilities cleaned regularly. Brilliant pub with lovely tasty food. Slimbridge Wetlands Reserve half a mile up the road over the canal. The canalside bar had live entertainment on 2 occasions whilst we're staying. Also did a boat trip down to Purton to see the abandoned concrete barges....All in all, a very pleasant time!
Great campsite with friendly staff. Facilities very good for my disabled husband with a great wet room. Very good on site Pub with lovely food.
Loved the campsite, camping with out electric, flat pitches are always a bonus, large shower block on the Meadows field and plenty big enough to withstand a full bank holiday weekend. The camp site is big on terms and conditions, arrival times, cleaning times, respect of other times, but during our times we witnessed a number of rule breakers and bending of the rules by staff.Such as....when I made the booking, I specifically asked if there was an opportunity to arrival and pitch early if space was available, I was told no but during a visit to the office an early arrival was asking the same question and was told it would be ok.Having walked the field and selected a position, we found that the red line on the map didn't allow for camping in this area, only to find other camping there. The T&C's on the noticeboard clearly define no use of power scooters around the site, yet on the Sunday afternoon around the road and across the camping field is a boy on a scooter, couldn't care l
Our four nights at Tudor Arms, were really enjoyable. Immaculate site with pub near by. Short stroll into the very nice village. Plenty of short local walks. Staff were very helpful...... definitely on our list to return to.Only one slight negative..... The Orchard shower block could do with a bit of an update...... but served its purpose.
Thank you for your review and feedback. The Orchard facilities were due to be refurbished at the beginning of the year, unfortunately, despite all our plans, we were let down by the builders but we are hopeful that we can get something in place for the end of this year. Meanwhile, they remain a useful secondary block. We hope you enjoyed your stay despite this and that we can welcome you back to the site sometime.Kind regards
The site is well maintained and very quiet - just as we like.Unfortunately during our 2 night stay, we were disappointed to find the toilets were smelly. The ladies facilities smelt of sewer drains and the gents smelt of urine.
Thank you for your review and feedback.I am sorry that you were disappointed, sadly, no one informed us at the time of the issue which turned out to be a blocked drain so therefore we were unable to do anything until we found out on the Sunday... when we immediately went out and sorted it.If you stay with us again and you have any issues at all, please pop in and let us know. It's so helpful when we are told at the time because then we can do something about it.We do hope you'll decide to re-visit sometime.Kind regards
