It is really a very good place to visit Belfast by bus with the one-day-ticket at 5 pounds. The staff was helpful to do the online check-in, so we are not so firm to do it easily! We can recommend this campingsite.
Very good located if you were to go on ferries, easy to book, not clean enough for my standard
Pleasant location. Sites well laid out and separated. Modern utilities block but some aspects of maintenance not good. Expensive. No flexible bookings.
My only issue was that there were a group of people together when I arrived and they were moving their caravans from one site to the next. I thought there was a three night limitation on staying.
Nice spot to stay in, but there were too many cars parken in relation to the number of caravans. It looked like some folk used the site as a stay to work in the area.Facilities were ok but there was no serviceplace for the campervan.
We were unable to for the 2 nights we paid for as had Motorhome problems on the way.We had no way of contacting you as it was a weekend as nobody at your site picked up the phone or emails
We stayed a night here after getting the afternoon ferry over from Cairnryan in Scotland - it’s about half an hour’s drive. It’s the second time we’ve done this. Small, well maintained and secure (you get a code for all doors and gates). Hot water a bit erratic on this visit. There’s a takeaway fish & chip/pizza place 10 minutes walk along the strand - last orders at 7.45 pm. Benches on lough side to sit and eat it. It is right beside a busy, noisy dual carriageway - it gets quieter at night. There is fencing and mature hedge and tree planting, so screened from view. Hard to make this better - although a few loose manhole covers in road could be fixed. Day time public café, but we didn’t try it. Good play park for kids.
We Stadt at the Site to have a Short way to pur Forst Rent pitch. Espacially thia is working great as you get alpin and can get there Late Like us missing the Booked ferry. The accomodation considering the Price is good in case you accept to User ear Plugs (just next to a Noise street). Overall it‘s a good Choice if you handle the Noise. Thanks
Absolutely shocking, fighting outside toilets, then was scared to use toilets after this!! Police called and someone removed in handcuffs!
The location is ideal for travel into the city centre but it’s very close to a very busy road. Access was very easy, toilets and showers were very good although I had to have two attempts as there was no hot water first time. The bus stop is just outside however return buses stop quite early although you can get later buses to the shops a few hundred metres away. There is a cafe outside and also shops and restaurants a short distance away. Lovely walks along the shore in both directions. A good site but in the wrong place unfortunately.
