Having experienced a problem with our camper van the staff did all they could to try and resolve it. Alongside the spotless facilities, accessories for washing ip etc were also provided, a very appreciated touch. The campsite itself was cool and quiet, a haven of peace in a hectic world.There was a huge amount of leaflets recommending tourist attractions, which were very helpful. Altogether my husband and I would definitely recommend Woodlands to other campers.

Beautiful campsite set in a wood , spotless facilities with very friendly owners.Can’t recommend this site highly enough , well worth a visit for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle plus it’s also very close to Ashbourne that has got great shops and plenty of places to have a fantastic meal.

From the moment we arrived, we could tell this campsite was very special, from the warm welcome to the incredibly spotless toilets and showers where we saw staff popping in to clean and tidy throughout the day. The campsite is truly magical, underneath a canopy of trees. The absolute highlight for our dog who is an escape artist was the very safe, fully fenced dog play park. Our dog had the best time and got used to going there first thing every morning. In fact, I think she was quite sad to leave, as were we!

Our second visit to this adults only location. Friendly hosts, great amenities. The weather wasn’t kind to us but that didn’t ruin our weekend.Easy to get to location but don’t follow your sat nav or you could end up down a very narrow country lane. Close to Ashbourne and a very good garden centre just down the road. I would recommend this site

Without writing to much the campsite amenities are perfect, anything you could need wash there including a great area to exercise dogs off lead which got lots of use. You can see how much care and attention the guys put into this place. Dave and Ruth are also just the nicest people, helped us out when we were in a muddle with the electric and we had to leave early the following morning but opening up the gates and sending us in our way with a coffee was no bother to them, they were just happy to help. 5 stars and would recommend this stay to anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. From the moment we entered the driveway we were warmly welcomed by Ruth who had carefully considered our request for a pitch without access to wifi (for personal health reasons). The site is peaceful and quiet with an abundance of wildlife, although the main road is quite close it did not disturb our stay.The dog walking area is excellent with a sign system to let other users know if your dog is friendly and willing to share the space.The facilities are of a very high standard with extra touches such as use of cleaning materials in the washing up area and plenty of baskets in the shower block to put all your toiletries.And then there's the cakes!! Made locally they are fabulous. Other local produce is also available.The site is ideally situated to visit a number of attractions in the area.

Excellent in all respects, one of the cleanest and best appointed that we have ever visited.

We were welcomed onto Woodland Caravan Park by the owners. Dave took us to our site and showed us the electric hookup and explained the various ways we could park our caravan. The electric usage is paid for on leaving. We used our electricity as normal and our 5 day stay cost us less than £6.00, which we think is very reasonable. The facilities were always clean and tidy. Although the site was quite full we never had to wait to use the showers. The pitches are a good size and each one has vegetation on three sides. This makes it feel private but not cut off from neighbours. The site is quiet in itself but there is some unavoidable road noise. Please don't let that put you off staying on a really lovely site.

We used the place as a weekend getaway with our dogs and found the place very quiet and peaceful. The owners were great and very helpful.

Great couple running this site, very friendly and hardworking keeping the site and facilities immaculate. Found the site very quiet and peaceful and easily accessible. The downside was that if it rains, then the water from the canopy is very loud on the roof and I also found myself after a few days searching for a gap to enjoy direct sunlight in the dark shade. This site would have been perfect the week before in 37 degrees. A woodland site will either work for you or not.
