Amazing campsite in a beautiful woodland setting. The facilities are warm and the cleanest I’ve come across in my 15 years of camping! Staff were lovely and friendly but also left you to enjoy your stay without bothering you. The secure dog walk is great and the added ability to let others know your dog isn’t friendly so you can have it to yourself is brilliant. The site is in a great location with lots of places to visit.

Lovely little site nestled amongst the Pine trees. We had a very warm reception by Ruth and Dave the new owners who were very helpful and accommodating. Washroom facilities were absolutely spotless and so well maintained. Snelston itself was a beautiful small hamlet set in stunning landscape with some lovely walks. Only our second outing in our motorhome and we will definitely be back. Mike and Leza

The site is spotless. The team are lovely and welcoming. Lovely big pitch. The gates are locked at night but you can access on foot which we did with no problem. The only thing I can think of to improve is automatic gates to save me getting out the car to open them 😂😂. Well done, keep it up, we will be back. 👍👍

What a fabulous site! Dave and Ruth were great, very friendly and most accomodating. The site is just the right size, and it being adult only is definitely a bonus. The amenities block is super clean as well as being well stocked with everything you could possibly want. As for the toilets, don't think I've seen such clean, well presented loos on a site! Have already booked to go again and will be booking further dates when we next visit..Keep up the fabulous work Dave & Ruth and we're looking to seeing you both soonMichaela & Paul Depear

We had a great 3 night stay over bank holiday weekend, staff were very friendly and helpful, site and amenities were spotless, great area for waling and biking, slightly isolated, a good walk to the nearest shop, a lovely place to stay, would highly recommend.

This is a lovely site sitting in a small woodland in a kind of oval shape down a quiet country lane. The wardens where extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities where immaculate all the time. Location is not far from the Peaks where there is amazing walking. We did a couple of walks from the site one to The Cock Inn in Clifton where we had a nice Sunday roast and another over the Darley track and into a nature reserve. The walking is not all on manmade paths and was very wet underfoot in places. Pitch fees where reasonable but what we did like was that you pay for what electricity you've used. We have a small vw and ran a fridge and a small heater £8.05 for 5 days. Very reasonable. Would def use again.

Staff very friendly & helpful. Site is quiet & tranquil, a real relaxing atmosphere. Pitches are decent & adequate sized. Lovely to see & hear all the wildlife in the trees. A great place to get away from it all & chill out.

This was our first time at woodlands as we tried to book bank holiday a bit late and our normal sites we stay at were either full or flooded. It turned out to be a blessing as Woodlands is a lovely site, well maintained and facilities are too notch. We will definitely be returning and have already promoted and told family and friends that it's a well worth stay.The owners even told us of a cancellation when we asked if there was a pitch for family to stay giving us first choice for them which they jumped at and also loved Woodlands and will also be booking again.

Bakewell, Matlock, Buxton all local amenities just fab

Woodlands is a fantastic place for a quiet relaxing, adult only break. The new owners really want you to have a good time. They're all really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble if you need help with anything like setting up your pitch etc. The site itself is absolutely spotless from the toilet and shower block to the washing up facilities. The added little touches they provide set it apart from other sites we've stayed on, like tissues and hand lotion in the ladies toilets to things like washing up liquid, scourers and cloths in the washing up area. The sites location in the woods is ideal for dog owners with a special wooded enclosed dog play area, our dog Bella loved it. There are lots of nice places to visit nearby, we went to Ashbourne and Matlock Bath which were both lovely places. Would definitely recommend Woodlands as an ideal short break to recharge the batteries.
