First time staying at Wood Nook and was very impressed with everything the site had to offer. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff, lovely layout of the park, field and facilities. Really lovely on site dog walk and beautiful public footpath trails leading from the site also. Location is superb and is close to Grassington and Skipton. If you like a good walk, then Grassington is very doable from the site and allows you to experience the wonders of the night sky if going out in the evening. That, and the amount of wildlife around the site both at night and during the day, is really beautiful, from owls to woodpeckers, from rabbits to squirrels and even the odd Jay flying around… just perfect!Wood Nook was everything I had hoped for and more and all whilst being incredibly good value for money and with wonderful facilities.I highly recommended this site, it’s 5*
A lovely quiet site situated a couple of miles from Grassington. The site and facilities are kept nice and clean. Even the heating was on in the loos and showers. The owners were nice and friendly. We had a good time despite some rubbish weather. With some fantastic walking available straight from the site.Grassington is a half hour walk. Linton a short drive. There's plenty of good eating places within a reasonable distance. All in all, no complaints at all.
The site is very nice, facilities good - warm toilets/showers and clean. The only downside is there are a lot of seasonal caravans and on the night we stayed many of them were empty, which gives a bit of a ghost town feeling more than a more empty site does. We would definitely stay again because it is a good site and well located in the dales.
On arrival, we were met by a friendly and very helpful member of the site. He thoroughly but quickly explained how the site worked (we’re campervan newbies) which provided lots of reassurance. Once we were on our plot, it became clear that our hook-up cable wasn’t long enough. We explained the situation with the team member at reception and he immediately let us borrow a longer hook-up cable. Phew! Our site neighbours were all very friendly and the site was quiet - just what we needed. Highly recommend this site.
Really enjoyed our stay. Had a great walk from the site to Burnsall (back along the river). Everything clean and tidy. Didn’t meet anything on the narrow lane in and out thankfully. The owner was very pleasant. Would definitely return.
This is our second time at Woodnook and we enjoyed it better than the first, though weather was much better this time round. The reception is a lovely hub and we were made very welcome. The shop sells amazing cakes and ornaments, as well as usual camping stock. There was a pizza van on an evening and a barista each morning which is lovely to start the day. Also a small bar open on the evening too. The site is private with an ANPR barrier for security. There is a playground. Pitches are fine, though WiFi cuts out a lot in rainy weather: the toilet and shower blocks are separate which, although not a problem, in bad weather the shower block feels cold. It’s an older site but it is charming and everything was lovely for us on this trip. It’s a 40 minute pleasant walk into Grassington Would definitely stay again.
Toilets and showers warm and clean.Pizzas and croissants were good.Only downside is most of the tent pitches are slightly sloping.
Another great weekend at woodnook great site, plenty to do if your the outdoors type. Hate the push know timed type showers but apart from that great site all round. Love the music in the toilets and showers.
This is our 10th year staying at Wood Nook, each September we go to Grassington for the 1940s event staying Wednesday till Monday. A beautiful village full of small "quaint" shops , great pubs that do wonderful meals etc. The camp site is just 1.5 miles away from the village centre with a large NT car park. Its a present drive but also nice walk. The camp site its self is part of the farm, toilet block is separate to the showers. Both are always spotless.Fridays they have fresh pizza cooked on site and Saturdays nice coffee to buy.The field is a fair size with flat grass pitches and several on a slight slope. Being in the open country side its nice to hear the owls hooting at night from the wood that surrounds the site. The owners are very friendly and informative of what to do or see in the area. The town of Skipton is just 5 miles away and also well worth a visit.
Perfect stay as always, excellent location, the owners were amazingly friendly and helpful. The site is beautifully kept, showers and toilets were very clean and hot and there are such great extras on site like the pizzas in the evening, coffees and pastries in the morning and cakes and jams etc in the shop. 5 stars!!!
