Windfarm Park

4.3 (23 reviews)

Windfarm Park is in a very quiet and secluded rural location; situated on our 140 acre farm. The park offers pitches for touring caravans, motor homes and tents. Onsite there is a large well stocked fishing lake and several miles of private walks around the farm offering guests the opportunity to observe the extensive local wildlife.

In a rural location, Windfarm Park offers grass pitches with or without electrical hook ups for caravans, camper vans & large tents.

Drinking water points are situated throughout the Park. There is a small playground for children. We have a large modern heated shower block

with free hot showers. Additionally there are disabled/family toilets & showers with baby changing facilities & an under cover food preparation & washing up area with laundry sinks. There are also sockets for hair driers. A chemical disposal point is situated next to the waste and recycling bins. Excellent fishing is available (free for children) in the onsite lake. Bring your bikes – we are at the foot of the Wolds and it is so flat that you can cycle all day! There are many quiet back lanes to explore. Don’t forget your binoculars as sometimes the loudest noise here comes from the birds. Neighbouring farmers have provided areas of wetland habitat to encourage wading birds and wildfowl. The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust runs many educational events during the summer, many aimed at children. They have a visitor centre at Gibraltar Point, just south of Skegness and have other nearby reserves at Snipe Dales and Freiston Foreshore. Quiet beaches (sometimes deserted) can be found 10 minutes south of Skegness at Gibraltar Point or further up the coast beyond Ingoldmells. The nearest pub is the Old Chequers Inn at Croft about 1.9 miles away.

We welcome well behaved pets.

Beautiful location but facilities not cleaned

Tanton, Pip - 11/07/2025

The location is great and the rally field is lovely. There is a slight drone from the wind turbines but didn't notice it to honest. Sadly the lovely toilet and shower block facilities were dirty when we arrived and after three nights they still hadn't been cleaned. This was such a shame as the block has been well built and fittings are of a good standard. However, the sinks were very grubby, floor had paper and leaves and needed a good sweep and mop and the toilets...well, they were not pleasant to use. Some of this was down to how some people seem to leave facilities after use who have no thought for anyone else but some of the issue was.lack of cleaning on the owners part. Such a shame as we were put off going back by this. It was an ideal location for us as we were visiting family in the nearby village of Burgh le marsh only 5 mins up the road. Skegness is about 15 mins away.

The perfect camping holiday.Great campsite for tent camping. Good facilities. Although probably not enough showers when it’s peak season.Really friendly campsite owner. Great surroundings with the lake & Canadian Geese & Rabbits running around. Good rural location, Skegness not far away if you want that buzz & plenty of lovely beaches to choose from. Excellent value for money.

Idyllic little paradise, hidden away, but close enough to everything you need!

Hind, Tracy - 23/06/2025

This is such a beautiful location! We pitched by the lake, and it was idyllic. We had the best weather, and that made it perfect! The owners are welcoming and friendly, and helpful, but leave you to enjoy your holiday! Other reviews talk about geese poo! Yes there's plenty, but it was dry so that didn't bother us! And having the geese and their goslings come to visit every day was really lovely to watch! After all it's their environment that we're encroaching, not the other way round!! The walks surrounding the farm are perfect for dogs! The wind turbines are strangely hypnotic! We were in a caravan so didn't use the facilities much, but our friends said they were ok.The Elson point is situated with the bins, and my one tiny bit of constructive criticism would be, it needs a really good clean! But I guess it it's not used much then.....? A short hose on the tap would help I think! All in all, a fantastic stay! Didn't want to leave! Thank you.

Great campsite

Joshua, Corinna - 05/09/2024

A great campsite, very peaceful and quiet, with everything you need for a little getaway. The pitch size was good size. Originally we meant to stay for 3 nights we ended up staying for 5, the staff was very friendly and helpful with accommodating us for longer and any issues we had which was only one! The toilet and shower block was very clean on arrival, although on our first night 2 of the female toilets were block, informed the owner in the morning as he was unaware and they were sorted straight away!! The site had a nice little play park for the kids and the lake was beautiful. Shops were in nearby villages 5mins drive away, there was also great attractions within a 10min drive to Skegness and 15min drive to Ingoldmells. We will definitely be going back next year!!
