Great first Campervan outing

Robinson, Chris - 24/11/2022

3

First experience overnight using our Campervan, check-in experience was quick and easy staff friendly/helpful. Good and convenient hardstand area next to facilities which would have easily been large enough for canopy/awning if reqd. Toilets, laundry and washup facilities all very clean. As first experience in van wasn't too bothered at the time of booking, but subsequently compared cost and seems quite pricey but time will tell. Had a really good stay/experience with camper.Only concern would be with the food we had in the restaurant and organisation. A tribute band had been booked (Subsequently cancelled) and a Special/set menu was in place!!. My very plain burger was ok, the wife's chip(cold and soggy) roll not so good. Real shame as the standard menu looked good with a selection for meat/veggies alike. Directions - Don't follow satnav for last 3 miles as it may take you down Donkey Lane (avoid!!!), head for coast road.

Motorhome stay 4 days

Wilson, Les - 20/11/2022

Clean and tidy pitches, friendly staff, Bar and club a massive improvement, restaurant food was ok, cafe we had a good breakfast, swimming pool was nice but will be difficult to get a swim at busier times in the summer, showers and toilets clean, needs a squeegee mop by showers so we can wipe when finished but understand not everyone is tidy and respectful and some children mess about when unsupervised But overall a massive improvement from the last time we stayed last year in June Will definitely return if spaces available next year and hopefully in February or March Les and Carol Wilson Pitch 12 but would choose 9/10 so we get a better view Maybe the hedge in front of pitch 12 could be cut lower

Lovely spot but a few points could be used mproved

Smith, Diana - 17/11/2022

Beautiful views, nice pitch, but it was not made clear before booking that there would be a charge of £10 per day for any additional vehicle. Breakfast in the cafe very good, food in the restaurant not so good.Yes, I might stay again, but at least next time I would be forewarned!

The facilities are not good enough lack of the staff in the bar have no interest of being there service when we ordered food was certainly not the best the food arrived after rather along wait and was cold and certainly not the best so sent them back and didn’t bother again , in the front bar area you had I assume a member of staff asleep in a chair not the best look the table across from us said the same regarding the food got sent back so overall would never come back to your caravan site and somebody needs to take a good look at the comments made kind regards R Bailey

Clean and tidy

Davis, Jane - 28/10/2022

Staff very efficient and friendly on booking and arrival - weather was very wet, windy and thunder storms - would have been nice for someone to see if we were ok especially after the high winds when we thought our awning would end up in Plymouth.Showers, toilets all clean and new.Would have liked a barrier as you come in to stop non guests coming in, on the Sunday evening at 10.30 a car drove in stopped by our van with full headlights then went down towards the other vans stopped a few minutes then drove off!Rame head beautiful and the beaches but weather did hamper beach walks.

I’m impressed with the improvements made this year, great area.My constructive points would beI don’t like mixed showers, don’t think that’s family friendly Getting rid of grey water from Motorhomes is difficult £44 a night at this time of year is too much and not competitive We will definitely return in the future

Too expensive

Weller, Jackie - 01/10/2022

The area is lovely, but the pitches have very little view, because of high banks surrounding the site. The amenities are good, but a long walk from certain pitches, and they weren’t heated. The pitches were good and level, with electric and water, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a bar and restaurant, which we didn’t use, and an indoor swimming pool, which you pay an extra £6.00 to use. We paid £44.00 a night, which we thought was very expensive, as the Camping and Caravanning club charge half that amount, with the same facilities, excluding the bar, restaurant and swimming pool. We will not visit again, as we did not feel we had value for money. We were there late in the season - 24th - 26th of September, so not high season. We only stayed at the site as we were visiting family, who have a holiday home in the area.
