Loverly site , nice and quiet . Good showers and nice short walk down to the river . Perfect.

We love the site, It's nice and quiet which suits us. The walks for the dogs are lovely and well kept. It's unfortunate that the behaviour of other participants falls below acceptable standards. I would expect to visit the loo and not have to clean the previous users poo from the pan... but I did, similarly, for someone to pee, with the seat down and get it all over the place including the seat and floor, and then not flush.... what gets into some folk!! There are dog poo bins on the walk so it's difficult to understand the mentality of someone who bags their dog's poo but then leaves it on top of a gate post???... we took it and put it in the dog poo bin.We feel for Karen and Dave when things like this happen, but they do, it's not fair on them and it's not fair on other people who stay.However, these 3 incidents over a 6 day stay were isolated and did not spoil our enjoyment of one of our favourite and best kept sites.

Our 3rd stay at this site - highly recommend- it’s a beautiful spot and so peaceful and relaxing Addition of two new bathrooms is a good improvement Will definitely be re booking

Fantastic stay again Karen and Dave cannot do enough for you brilliant hosts only down side was there were no fresh eggs chickens are laying in a secret nest no one can find 😂😂.

Had a lovely stay.Nice steady walk into Pickering.Then a quit night with a drink and a book.

Trackside cottage was perfect for us. It was charming and fully equipped, plenty of storage and everything worked. Returning home after a day out was lovely. Hot showers and comfy beds.The owners answered any questions quickly. We stayed for 2 weeks and the linen changeover in the middle was done with ease.We could watch the trains coming in and out of Pickering station opposite which was a bonus.Enjoyed every minute of our holiday

We stayed on one of 4 non awning pitches (No.22) that are separated by a hedge from the main site - it felt really private and peaceful. The pitches are huge and well kept with grass on either side of the hard standing and all pitches have a really useful picnic bench for meals. The site is well laid out and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. There are picnic benches and places to sit around the ponds which are lovely - full of blooming Lily Pads when we were there. The facilities are spotlessly clean. There’s a lovely walk down to and along the chalk stream at the edge of the property - we were delighted to see lots of Hare in one of the fields by the stream and a kingfisher flying down the stream. We will definitely return.

Love Westgate Carr Farm. It’s beautifully cared for, peaceful and just a perfect place to stay. Always a lovely, friendly welcome. The facilities are spotless and the pitches very well appointed. Your stay is charged at a very reasonable rate with electricity being charged extra on a meter and card system. It certainly works very well for us, wish more sites would recognise this approach works.The site is down a country lane, which offers the opportunity to walk into Pickering if that’s your thing. Alternatively, there is plenty of parking at the rear of the station (you will need to pay) if walking is not your bag. Our favourite site.

Site very well kept but staff were non existent after arrival. The location is not good for Motorhomers because long lane is not good for walking. Shower availability could be a problem if site was busy.

We have been to Westgate Carr Farm 3 times now as it's a lovely site. The pitches are large which makes them more private, it is very quiet and peaceful. There is a really good dog walk or just a walk around the fields and a stream. The owners ard really nice and friendly and it's only 1 mile from Pickering.
