We stayed for several days at the Airbnb in Pickering; the property overlooked the steam railway and had a fantastic outlook. The property was ideal for Pickering, albeit needed a slight uphill walk to get to the property. The Airbnb was extremely comfy, well equipped and obviously well cared for. We toured to both York and Whitby during our stay and also rode the steam train. This Airbnb (Clear View Cottage) is highly recommended and we thank the owners for the booking through to our stay.

great park great location great hosts, our only small niggle was in the disable toilet no where for wife to sit and get dressed. some small bench would help looking forward to a return.

Very well kept, quiet adults only site in a fab location, accessible to lots of lovely surrounding villages and attractions.

Had the best weekend at Westgate.The site is so lovely and in a very quiet spot.Had the whole camping field to ourselfWhich was amazing.The toilets and showers were so clean and tidy and even had music playing.One of the nicest camp sites I have visited.

We stayed wc 3rd Aug 26 and first impressions were 'what a lovely site', the pitches were a generous size and clean/tidy.The lady who saw us onto site bombarded us with way too much info, and a large pack of literature to read. The pitches we felt were laid out wrong, the rules state your outfit & awning on the gravel (which is fine), on the awning side their is just a little strip of grass, hardly big enough to have a chair on, whereas on the other side of the van was a large piece of grass but it wouldn't be used as on the wrong side of the van and also facing directly onto neighbouring pitch?Each pitch had a hedge between but they are not that high yet so don't give privacy but will do in time.Electricity was extra & we were concerned how this would work but it was a simple system and over the 6 days we still had credit left from £15, although still not had our credit back yet, 5 days after leaving.Too remote, with long walk to bus stop.

We have been going to Westgate Carr Farm for a number of years now, as many as four times a year. It is our place to go in North Yorkshire for a relaxing quiet holiday. You will be met by friendly helpful staff on a really clean well run site and believe me you will want to return back there in the future

Loverly site , nice and quiet . Good showers and nice short walk down to the river . Perfect.

We love the site, It's nice and quiet which suits us. The walks for the dogs are lovely and well kept. It's unfortunate that the behaviour of other participants falls below acceptable standards. I would expect to visit the loo and not have to clean the previous users poo from the pan... but I did, similarly, for someone to pee, with the seat down and get it all over the place including the seat and floor, and then not flush.... what gets into some folk!! There are dog poo bins on the walk so it's difficult to understand the mentality of someone who bags their dog's poo but then leaves it on top of a gate post???... we took it and put it in the dog poo bin.We feel for Karen and Dave when things like this happen, but they do, it's not fair on them and it's not fair on other people who stay.However, these 3 incidents over a 6 day stay were isolated and did not spoil our enjoyment of one of our favourite and best kept sites.

Our 3rd stay at this site - highly recommend- it’s a beautiful spot and so peaceful and relaxing Addition of two new bathrooms is a good improvement Will definitely be re booking
