Always a lovely warm welcome. We love the spacious pitches and the long dog walk beside the little stream and finding the Swan. They owners really take care and pride of the gardens and extra planting of hedges, always something new happening, we will be back soon. Xxx

A absolutely stunning site,from the very warm welcome to the beautiful surroundings it certainly is a tranquil place, the pitches are large and flat spotless toilets and showers block.Amazing dog walk , all areas are very well managed.The access road is very easy to negotiate we have a twin wheel motorhome and it was so easy! The family have worked very hard to reach such a high standard and maintain it and it is very much appreciated ,we will be returning very soon.

Loved our stay at west gate Carr. Nice walk into Pickering and the site was very clean and tidy.

Site is located approximately 1 mile off the main road in to Pickering, along single track road- with strict arrival times apparently because of limitations of the road (1 vehicle width)Friendly greeting and information from owner.Lovely clean and modern facilities, with 1 shower , 2 toilets and 2 handbasins.Be aware that there is a £1 (coin only) charge for a shower (approx 7mins) which challenged us, as we didn’t have ANY cash! Would have been helpful to know this prior to arrival, although owners information said they could provide coins.It takes approximately 20 mins (brisk) walk to get to the end of the road, and about another 20 mins in to the centre of Pickering Lovely “beer only “ pub on the road in to Pickering(about 30 mins walk from site)Bus stop about 25 mins from site where we caught bus to Scarborough

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in our campervan here. The site is in a lovely quiet location about a mile from Pickering and is very well maintained with nice landscaped areas. Owners were very welcoming. Toilet and shower blocks kept very clean and although there is a charge for the shower it was powerful and gives you 7 mins of hot water. We particularly liked the fact you only pay for the electric you use particularly as we have a small campervan - for 2 nights only cost us 41p! Nice nature trail around the site down to the beck past the alpacas.It is a pleasant stroll along the lane into Pickering - looks like there are some footpaths across fields that you can also take but we thought they might be quite muddy with all the rain we had prior to our stay.We would definitely recommend this site and look forward to a return visit at some point.

Visit x 4 times at least per year and have done for the past 10 years or so. Love the peace and quiet. Friendly family run site in beautiful surroundings x

A very spacious and well kept site run by very helpful owners, we have been going there two or three times a year for the past six years, highly satisfied, fully recommended.

We needed a one night stay while we visited Filey and Scarborough. Westgate Carr is a really good site, with excellent, large hard standing pitches which was reassuring because in the wet weather we had recently had to abandon our stay on another site when our camper van was bogged down. Facilities are clean and high quality. There’s a lovely dog walk by the river of about a mile. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
