The accessible holiday vans are designed to provide wheelchair users and their families with safe, easy access in a relaxing and comfortable space. They have a full wet room with fold out seat and support handles. The vans have two twin bedrooms and sleep four. One of bedrooms has a portable helper frame. The cooker and sink are at a lower level and each van has a decking with ramp access. These vans are also better suited to those with mobility issues as there are no steps to negotiate and, as well as a wider external door, all the internal doors slide. The two wheelchair friendly vans are in the second row but also have a sea view! All vans are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, linen and towels.
Each wagon has an en-suite shower, a kitchen area, double bed, heating and decking. All fully equipped, all you need is your sleeping bag or duvet.

West Beach Caravan Park is on the site of the former train station and wagons at this time were used to transport the fish out of Hopeman. We've kept this theme and named the wagons Flukey, Guntac and Rock Coddie - the local names for some of the Moray Firth catch. All the wagons are the same, they just have different paint colours.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The four Beach Hutties are basically wooden tents with mattresses, blinds, a ceiling light and a USB charger. By day they act as a seating area and by night they form a 3m x 2m sleeping area. The optional hook-up means you can use the Huttie as an extension to your campervan.
These are no frills, simple units and are located at the rear of the park. A fifth hut provides a Campers Kitchen with toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwashing sinks.

We enjoyed three days on a shore pitch which was a fairly large handstanding pitch number four. The first six pitches have a pronounced run down towards the shore side so you need levelling blocks for your motorhome. Fabulous sea views and good facilities. Eating out at the onsite bistro is a very welcome bonus. We were visiting midweek so the site was nice and quiet.
Second vist to West Beach Caravan park, staying in our VW camper on there specific VW van pitches, the pitches are a good size with a very clean and modern toilet/shower cabin close by. Checkin was very straight forward and no issues or complaints for the two nights we stayed. We will be back in the near future.
My only things that could be better. The showers don't get hot enough for a shower. Did hear people complaining about them too. I also noticed people with tents keep you up with loud voiices even beening next to the sea front i could hear them. Before tents where further back and not so near .The food was great. Maybe having a notice up beside gate would inform people it's locked. the amount of people looking confused to how to get over to the other side was endless. This was causing people to go through other people's pitch which wasn't fair. .
We camped for our first time as a family of four at West Beach. The site has everything you need at hand and lovely clean facilities. We loved visiting Bootleggers for food and drinks and the scenery from our sea view plot was amazing to wake up to. Can't talk highly enough about West Beach. We will 100% be back.
Site is clean, in a great location for sandy beach and rock pools and has modern amenities dotted around for easy access. It is an expensive pitch, but the view to sea is wonderful and the campsite is very clean. Our favourite day was to park at the edge of Hopeman and walk to a beautiful sandy beach with caves, rock pools and a grassy edge: a great day. We pitched in a “sea view” pitch and the only downside was when a caravan and awning pitched directly in front of our view, as was their right, but still a little disappointment.Overall a great site. Will be back! And we haven’t even mentioned tasty Bootleggers, the restaurant on site!
Well firstly we were two hours trying to book on line , numerous phone calls to site with no answer , toilets on way in a bit disappointing but we found other facilities immaculate , quiet , beautiful views but a wee bit of communication failure !! Due to lack of communication from the site as first timers on site we realised after that there were other options with better views 😳 so at the end of all this communication was the biggest failure but THANKYOU, hope you have a busy season 😊
Excellent site close to the beach. The facilities are really good and well looked after. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn't manage to get to bootleggers but will on my next visit. There are nice costal walks with great views. The village is nice and has pretty much all you need in the way of shops. Good to see the playback getting upgraded as well.
Second Time back with our campervan and first time with our friends, their kids and tent.Lovely welcome and great facilities, keep up the good work.
When l booked l made a mistake and booked 5 nights. I sent an email to change to 4 nights. I never heard back from them. When l arrived warden said he had nothing to do with booking. I phoned the site while there as reception was never open. The owner said no refunds. Which was disappointing and site is getting expensive. So when booking be careful. Restaurant on site not keen on doing takeout and with dog not allowed in there and weather not that good for sitting outside. Site facilities are ok.
Hi TerryThank you for your feedback. You are absolutely correct, you should have been able to alter your booking when you emailed the same day as your booking was made. We don't do refunds for shorter stays as a rule as otherwise when it starts raining there would be a queue of people looking to reduce the length of their stay. However, someone making a mistake or realising they have other plans shortly after booking should be accommodated. I wasn't involved at the time so I assume they were talking in general rather than specifically about your circumstances. I'll ask one of the team to get in touch and arrange a refund.Apologies for the confusion. Barry
We spent a few nights in one of the lodges overlooking the beach, it was absolutely stunning !The lodge was so cute and cosy, perfect for a couple or a young family, everything you need.Sunsets were incredible! We particularly enjoyed Bootleggers and Salty Dog bar and restaurant, a warm welcoming atmosphere, great staff, food and drinks. There is a real sense of community in Hopeman, whether you are from there or visiting, something that makes you want to keep going back.
