The accessible holiday vans are designed to provide wheelchair users and their families with safe, easy access in a relaxing and comfortable space. They have a full wet room with fold out seat and support handles. The vans have two twin bedrooms and sleep four. One of bedrooms has a portable helper frame. The cooker and sink are at a lower level and each van has a decking with ramp access. These vans are also better suited to those with mobility issues as there are no steps to negotiate and, as well as a wider external door, all the internal doors slide. The two wheelchair friendly vans are in the second row but also have a sea view! All vans are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, linen and towels.

West Beach Caravan Park is on the site of the former train station and wagons at this time were used to transport the fish out of Hopeman. We've kept this theme and named the wagons Flukey, Guntac and Rock Coddie - the local names for some of the Moray Firth catch. All the wagons are the same, they just have different paint colours.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The four Beach Hutties are basically wooden tents with mattresses, blinds, a ceiling light and a USB charger. By day they act as a seating area and by night they form a 3m x 2m sleeping area. The optional hook-up means you can use the Huttie as an extension to your campervan.
These are no frills, simple units and are located at the rear of the park. A fifth hut provides a Campers Kitchen with toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwashing sinks.

Superb location with an adjacent bar and restaurant. Professional and hospitable staff. Great facilities adjacent to a superb beachfront.
We were on a Seaview pitch - but closest to Bootkeggers.Meant we were awoken early on Sunday as staff arrived and pulled stock over the gravel paths. Really noisy.Similarly cars coming & going - noisy into the evening and again in the morning.Bootleggers no longer allow dogs in - which we have done before, despite the website stating they do. This was a big draw for us - as we like to eat out with the dog. Such a shame. Not allowing any dogs rather than limit is not a good option. The bathrooms are looking tired and would benefit from a refurbishment.Locally the beach, cafe and chippy are good.Braenou pub no longer seems to serve food.Eating out is not an easy option
Lovely first stay at West beach caravan park . Our caravan was really good. Only two things that were disappointing 1 the tv signal was very poor so it was unwatchable at times 2 the plug on a toilet sink was jammed shut we reported it to the reception and they said they would get it fixed right away that didn’t happen was still jammed when we left. The local pub/ restaurant was ok but very pricey they also wouldn’t let our party of 8 in for a drink stating they were full even though there was only a handful of people there. We found a better pub round the corner with reasonable prices and a good atmosphere.
Location of site is great for coastal walks. However we did not have great pitch location. Late booking so probably all that was vacant. Immediately opposite residential vans with a narrow roadway . There are seaveiw pitches which were in an amazing location. However I’d be extremely annoyed paying £49 per night with such poor facilities! The facilities we were using were in need of upgrade. There was only cold water from the hot tap in toilets, electric shower with lukewarm water temperature . The building itself was cold. No hot water in dishwashing area. Husband went to the gents toilet which was taped off and the area had a smell of sewage at the water tap.No eateries in Hopeman , there is a bar/ restaurant on site which we didn’t use.
Clean facilities although could do with some updating and minor fixes eg toilet door locks. Otherwise well kept. Helpful staff. Excellent on site restaurant. Beautiful beach. Some pitches with sea views and others behind the dunes. Interesting village to stroll round and lovely off road walk to Burghead and beyond. Great for easy cycling and access to Roseisle Forest.
Fantastic views from premium seafront berth, lovely restaurant on site and good facilities. Short walk into the village of Hopeman where everyone seems very friendly. Recommend the Braemou pub for a drink and the local golf course for a lovely lunch or breakfast.
We picked a shore pitch, the views were amazing. The price reflected this, as quite expensive. We would definitely come back but maybe choose a cheaper pitch, further back from the shore.. They had a bar and restaurant on site which was conveniently located. The site was a very good size not massive which we like. Facilities were good, however the site wasn't busy, so no ques for showers etc, however, I can imagine it being tight with showers/dish wash area etc when the campsite is full. Hopeman isn't a busy place but there are a few shops you could get supplies and a chippy. Getting into the site is awkward, having to drive down a narrow street with cars parked either side. They have WiFi, great walks on your doorstep, our dogs loved it. We will be back, definitely recommend.
Hopeman is a lovely wee village and this site is up there with the very best of campsites we have stayed in. The situation is stunning looking out onto the Moray Firth and the facilities are excellent. We stayed as a family of 4 in our camper van with awning. We had electric hookup and our own fresh water tap at the hookup post. The shower and bathroom facilities are spotless and smart.
We really enjoyed our short break to Hopeman. The campsite was a good size and not over crowded. Position of the lodges was second to none-really close to the beach. The views from our beach lodge were amazing with lovely sunsets. Local area has a lot to offer. We played golf at Covesea. The chippy Hopeman is very good.
