The accessible holiday vans are designed to provide wheelchair users and their families with safe, easy access in a relaxing and comfortable space. They have a full wet room with fold out seat and support handles. The vans have two twin bedrooms and sleep four. One of bedrooms has a portable helper frame. The cooker and sink are at a lower level and each van has a decking with ramp access. These vans are also better suited to those with mobility issues as there are no steps to negotiate and, as well as a wider external door, all the internal doors slide. The two wheelchair friendly vans are in the second row but also have a sea view! All vans are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, linen and towels.
Each wagon has an en-suite shower, a kitchen area, double bed, heating and decking. All fully equipped, all you need is your sleeping bag or duvet.

Our wagons have been individually specified and are currently being built.
West Beach Caravan Park is on the site of the former train station and wagons at this time were used to transport the fish out of Hopeman. We've kept this theme and named the wagons Flukey, Guntac and Rock Coddie - the local names for some of the Moray Firth catch. All the wagons are the same, they just have different paint colours.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The four Beach Hutties are basically wooden tents with mattresses, blinds, a ceiling light and a USB charger. By day they act as a seating area and by night they form a 3m x 2m sleeping area. The optional hook-up means you can use the Huttie as an extension to your campervan.
These are no frills, simple units and are located at the rear of the park. A fifth hut provides a Campers Kitchen with toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwashing sinks.

We have stayed there before in previous years and had a good experience which is why we rebooked. On this occasion, the reception was closed when we arrived and had to press the intercom at the side of the door for getting attention. When the warden arrived, after a short wait, there was no welcome comments and we were told which pitch we had been allocated which was not where we were expecting. I asked if we could be reallocated a better pitch where we had been before but I was told that it was not possible as they were busy and full. The pitch we were allocated was very narrow and was more like being in a car park rather than a caravan site. On the whole it was not a great experience - not a great welcome and being dealt with by reluctant, unhelpful wardens. We endured a one night stay and left the next morning despite having booked and paid for two nights. I have to say, the on-line booking process is not the best as it does not give a clear in-sight where the pitches are on the map
Second year in a row we’ve come to west beach for a week in our touring caravan. Enjoyed it Everything is clean and the kitchen hut great for washing dishes/making or having breakfast. Bootleggers a great addition - would be great to have more live music there. Not much activities given from the park as such but if you’ve a bike, paddleboard or want a day at the beach it’s a perfect spot.
Restaurant was great. Location next to Hopeman park, beach and shops was also great. The new shower and toilet facilities at the park were also really good.We were recommended to go to West Beach and we’ve since recommended others go.
Dory at a bus show many year ago, in cream and one of her sisters too in blue.
Nice and helpful staff. Ideal setting for easy access to the beach for grand kids and the sun shone every day
To complete the above -we were told that it was not possible to gain enter to the site until 4pm even. although we know from others on site that the said caravan had been available from mid morningWe had to go to the golf club to make use of their facilities-surely for the stake of good customer relationships that 50 mins would not have mattered?
First time at west beach site very nice and clean. campers kitchen is next best thing if you're in a tent like me. as i am posting this review I'm booking this site again for my next visit, this is not a ordinary site this is a whole different experience don't miss it.
Beautiful campsite with fantastic sea views and facilities.
Love the Hopeman site. Great facilities right by the beach . Bootleggers bar and grill and Salty dog takeaway are great for food and drink. Will be back
Good facilities on site. The Bootleggers restaurant proved to be excellent. The proximity to the beach was great.
