Each wagon has an en-suite shower, a kitchen area, double bed, heating and decking. All fully equipped, all you need is your sleeping bag or duvet.
Our three ‘goods wagons’ offer the best glamping experience at luxury level and are only a stones throw away from the beach. Whether it’s a romantic break or a much needed place to escape from the daily grind the wagons are the perfect place to chill out. Each wagon has an en-suite shower, a kitchen area, double bed, heating and decking. All fully equipped, all you need is your sleeping bag or duvet. Our wagons have been individually specified and are currently being built.
West Beach Caravan Park is on the site of the former train station and wagons at this time were used to transport the fish out of Hopeman. We've kept this theme and named the wagons Flukey, Guntac and Rock Coddie - the local names for some of the Moray Firth catch. All the wagons are the same, they just have different paint colours.
The accessible holiday vans are designed to provide wheelchair users and their families with safe, easy access in a relaxing and comfortable space.
The accessible holiday vans are designed to provide wheelchair users and their families with safe, easy access in a relaxing and comfortable space. They have a full wet room with fold out seat and support handles. The vans have two twin bedrooms and sleep four. One of bedrooms has a portable helper frame. The cooker and sink are at a lower level and each van has a decking with ramp access. These vans are also better suited to those with mobility issues as there are no steps to negotiate and, as well as a wider external door, all the internal doors slide. The two wheelchair friendly vans are in the second row but also have a sea view! All vans are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, linen and towels.

The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The four Beach Hutties are basically wooden tents with mattresses, blinds, a ceiling light and a USB charger. By day they act as a seating area and by night they form a 3m x 2m sleeping area. The optional hook-up means you can use the Huttie as an extension to your campervan.
These are no frills, simple units and are located at the rear of the park. A fifth hut provides a Campers Kitchen with toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwashing sinks.
All lodges sleep two adults and two children with views over west Beach.
New for 2020 we have five new Lodges - the S Pod 6 Escape - from Swift.
These lodges are ideally suited for two adults and two children or for a romantic break for two. The Lodges have shower room, twin beds on the mezzanine which are accessed from the dining area, a fold down double in in the dinette and a pull-out double in the front seating area.
The Lodges are fully equipped and have the added extras of gas central heating, a nespresso machine and 40in Smart TV. There is a twin gas hob, fridge with ice-box and a microwave.
All the lodges overlook West Beach and have a covered decking area so that you can enjoy the view - whatever the weather!

Lovely site right on the sea shore with Greta sea views and lovely beach . Amenities very clean. It’s great having the slaty dog for food /drink if you want but we did find it a bit expensive this time and portions quite small. The only downside was the construction work going on right next to our pitch . I know it’s difficult to make improvements without some kind of disruption but it was getting quite annoying towards the end of our stay . It hasn’t put us off coming backwards perhaps later in the year when work has finished .
My favourite spot on the beach front, lovely walks, time for me to sketch and walk my dog along the stunning coast with all its caves, coves and amazing cliffs with beautiful beaches. Stunning sunsets were enjoyed. The immaculate shepherd hut shower blocks and toilets are so well kept. I did want to visit the shop to buy a few things, I’d spied a cushion I thought I’d buy before I left but I missed the opening times for that. This is one of my favourite campsites, so thank you once again, I’ll be back again and again 😊
Second trip within in a year to west Beach which is an Excellent campsite with great facilities on site.Food was amazing ,nice walk to burghead then a swim at Cummingston on the way back.Only downside was the bar,on previous trips they have always had a well stocked and organised bar, this time they only had a poor attempt at lager for sale which dribbled out the tap,,no ipa and then ran out of cider.I ended up going back to the van and bringing along our own drinks to have with fantastic scallops ,but would rather have spent money at the bar.Hopefully the focus isn’t all on the new build and the day to day basics are being overlooked. The warden, guy with the glasses,is a class act ,couldn’t be more helpful and seemed to do everything on site, including building work.Apologies for the moan, will definitely be back and we have two sets of friends heading up in the next few weeks as it is fantastic.
We were more than satisfied with all aspects of the accommodation and facilities. The cleanliness of the caravan and bedding could not be faulted. Our one criticism was the unreliability of your number plate recognition traffic barrier which failed to function on several occasions.
We’d been looking forward to our visit to the dog friendly wagon and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely accommodation, great location, fabulous facilities, highlight was the beach and the bootleggers bothy! It would have been helpful if there had been a gate on the decking area so our dog could run free in the wagon and decking area without being tied up. Also we appreciated the all dogs on leads but our dog still got bitten by another one whilst on the lead so perhaps a friendly warning to owners of dogs that aren’t friendly to keep them away from other dogs would help avoid this type of situation.
Have stayed here time and time again as we love the situation. Good for walks, the beach, dolphin watching, and golf! This was the first time we took an awning and had booked our favourite sea shore pitch. We found the hard standing very difficult for pitching even with rock pegs. However we did manage it and it was perfect. Essential to have good rock pegs.As ever the facilities were clean and tidy. They are building a new restaurant onsite which will be a fabulous addition.Overall love this site.
Unable to shower in the closest shower block to the hutties as the water was scalding. Had to drive our semi clad 8 year old who had just come out of the sea to the other side of the site so she could shower without burning her skin. A real shame the site is still not taking tents. Booked the hutties instead but was not impressed with a 9.45 eviction off the site especially given it only needs a quick spray and sweep of a small space before the next visitors at 4pm. Food very expensive on site, couldn’t justify feeding a family at £10.50 for a mushroom burger and £7.50 for a breakfast sandwich.
A great place to unwind, kick back and soak up the sea air. Whatever the weather, rain or shine. The facilities are perfect. The bathrooms warm and hot water plentiful. The little kitchen ideal for occasional washing up. The on site food and drink is exceptional along with all the staff involved at Westbeach.
Hassle fre holidaying. We had a spotless caravan with dolphin and sunset views- what’s not to love.
Really enjoyed our stay. Great front line pitch. Only negative is that at £40 per night Wi-Fi should be provided, it certainly wasn’t on our pitch.
