The accessible holiday vans are designed to provide wheelchair users and their families with safe, easy access in a relaxing and comfortable space.
The accessible holiday vans are designed to provide wheelchair users and their families with safe, easy access in a relaxing and comfortable space. They have a full wet room with fold out seat and support handles. The vans have two twin bedrooms and sleep four. One of bedrooms has a portable helper frame. The cooker and sink are at a lower level and each van has a decking with ramp access. These vans are also better suited to those with mobility issues as there are no steps to negotiate and, as well as a wider external door, all the internal doors slide. The two wheelchair friendly vans are in the second row but also have a sea view! All vans are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, linen and towels.
Each wagon has an en-suite shower, a kitchen area, double bed, heating and decking. All fully equipped, all you need is your sleeping bag or duvet.
Our three ‘goods wagons’ offer the best glamping experience at luxury level and are only a stones throw away from the beach. Whether it’s a romantic break or a much needed place to escape from the daily grind the wagons are the perfect place to chill out. Each wagon has an en-suite shower, a kitchen area, double bed, heating and decking. All fully equipped, all you need is your sleeping bag or duvet. Our wagons have been individually specified and are currently being built.
West Beach Caravan Park is on the site of the former train station and wagons at this time were used to transport the fish out of Hopeman. We've kept this theme and named the wagons Flukey, Guntac and Rock Coddie - the local names for some of the Moray Firth catch. All the wagons are the same, they just have different paint colours.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The four Beach Hutties are basically wooden tents with mattresses, blinds, a ceiling light and a USB charger. By day they act as a seating area and by night they form a 3m x 2m sleeping area. The optional hook-up means you can use the Huttie as an extension to your campervan.
These are no frills, simple units and are located at the rear of the park. A fifth hut provides a Campers Kitchen with toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwashing sinks.
All lodges sleep two adults and two children with views over west Beach.
New for 2020 we have five new Lodges - the S Pod 6 Escape - from Swift.
These lodges are ideally suited for two adults and two children or for a romantic break for two. The Lodges have shower room, twin beds on the mezzanine which are accessed from the dining area, a fold down double in in the dinette and a pull-out double in the front seating area.
The Lodges are fully equipped and have the added extras of gas central heating, a nespresso machine and 40in Smart TV. There is a twin gas hob, fridge with ice-box and a microwave.
All the lodges overlook West Beach and have a covered decking area so that you can enjoy the view - whatever the weather!

Interestingly there is quite a difference in the price of the sea view pitches and especially the serviced sea views with the non sea views. Probably a fair thing that non sea viewers are not subsidising sea viewers. For our first try we picked a non sea view at the station and our pitch was next to what would have been the platform. The hardstanding was long and narrow but the grass was generous. Quite regimented as to what direction to pitch so there can be no arguments about whose grass it is. Fair enough, makes sense. These pitches are relatively sheltered too and considerably cheaper than the sea views. To be fair the sea view serviced pitches were impressive and huge overlooking the sea. I don't feel the need to for a serviced pitch but if you want it it is there. Parts of our toilet block were cordoned off for repair but perfectly adequate. The showers there are communal which may deter some. Easy walk into town, the harbour and beaches. Will definitely be back
Have stayed here a few times before and have always had a very enjoyable stay. Staff very friendly and helpful and facilities very clean. Only complaint this time is that I only had less than 30 seconds worth of time using hairdryer before it switched off! Little else to complain about! We’ll be back!!
I have been coming to West Beach for a number of years. Always special. Hopeman one of the gems of Scotland. The campsite, well organised, good facilities, great views.
We had a wonderful time. Our pitch was huge and the view's from it were amazing. We saw dolphins on several occasions. The restaurant on site is very good and the staff are so friendly. Looking forward to a return visit next year.
We really enjoyed our stay on the caravan park, the toilets were spotless, the beach was right on our doorstep, the staff were really friendly and helpful, Hopeman was a lovely little village. We highly recommend a visit to this site.
The caravan park is very well kept , the staff are friendly and informative, the caravan itself was immaculate and very well laid out with an external deck and the views are spectacular , will definitely be back!
Great site, great views, great weather! Lots of Wildlife to watch.
Lovely caravan - situation can't be faulted, second visit, will probably be back - landed well with the weather. Local walks and beach right on your doorstep. Caravan very tidy - a pair of tongs would have been useful. Had meal at Bootleggers - very nice and lovely view again.
Beautiful views , lovely walks each side of the site. Met lots of nice people and it was great sharing our chats.Definitely will be .
The site is in a beautiful location, right along the shore of Hopeman on the Moray Firth. The Shoreline pitches are very spacious & fully serviced. Unfortunately the shower/toilet facilities are looking tired & in need of upgrading. There are not enough cubicles for when the site is busy. Only 3 cubicles for Women & the same for men. This was our second time of staying here, both at the beginning of September, & the showers have been cold with no heating in the blocks, which are just 3 Shepherd huts fitted out as shower rooms. We are both in our seventies, as were the majority of people there, & do appreciate warm facilities, especially when the weather is inclement as it was, again. The surrounding area is stunning with Roseisle Beach a short drive away. Lossiemouth is a twenty minute drive where there is another beautiful beach & plenty of places to eat & drinkThe location of this site is its only asset
