The accessible holiday vans are designed to provide wheelchair users and their families with safe, easy access in a relaxing and comfortable space. They have a full wet room with fold out seat and support handles. The vans have two twin bedrooms and sleep four. One of bedrooms has a portable helper frame. The cooker and sink are at a lower level and each van has a decking with ramp access. These vans are also better suited to those with mobility issues as there are no steps to negotiate and, as well as a wider external door, all the internal doors slide. The two wheelchair friendly vans are in the second row but also have a sea view! All vans are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, linen and towels.

Our wagons have been individually specified and are currently being built.
West Beach Caravan Park is on the site of the former train station and wagons at this time were used to transport the fish out of Hopeman. We've kept this theme and named the wagons Flukey, Guntac and Rock Coddie - the local names for some of the Moray Firth catch. All the wagons are the same, they just have different paint colours.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The West Beach Hutties - perfect for camping without a tent or as extra accommodation for your campervan.
The four Beach Hutties are basically wooden tents with mattresses, blinds, a ceiling light and a USB charger. By day they act as a seating area and by night they form a 3m x 2m sleeping area. The optional hook-up means you can use the Huttie as an extension to your campervan.
These are no frills, simple units and are located at the rear of the park. A fifth hut provides a Campers Kitchen with toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwashing sinks.

Great holiday. Fantastic site with great facilities. The beach and views are amazing. We return every year!
Have stayed many times at West Beach, great shore pitches with fantastic views. Good facilities with great food and drinks at Salty Dog and Bootleggers Restaurant.
Having booked early we had a beach front fully serviced pitch and we weren’t disappointed with it. With regard to the shower and toilet facilities they seemed good having your own cubicle with shower and toilet. We tend to use our own shower and toilet in the caravan so can’t really comment further. The reception staff were great and very helpful. The onsite Bootlegger restaurant and bar was a real bonus and one we made good use off so much so the staff knew us by name and all of them were excellent and very helpful. Hopeman is an old fishing village and was never built to cope with the numbers of cars etc that are around today. The road down to the site with all the cars parked effectively becomes a single track road with passing places which can make it a bit tricky with a large vehicle or towing a caravan. The road into the site is a tight turn but please be aware of the Sharpe speed bumps which need to be taken very slowly. We will certainly be going back next year.
My family and I have been coming back to west beach for 10 years now visiting 7/8 times. It is a place my husband, whose family live in Elgin had a caravan as a child and holds many fond memories for him. It is a beautiful settling, the caravans are gorgeous, clean and well serviced. The facilities are great for washing etc. we always have a lovely time. A couple of things that could make it even better- We have never been able to eat in the Bootleggers since it opened (we were coming before that too) as when we arrive and try to book we were told there was no availability for our family for the whole of our stay, this happened on our last visit also. Sometimes we have experienced the staff being a bit grumpy with us if the barrier for the car hasn’t worked or we’ve needed to ask something. There could be a more welcoming vibe for the holiday van folks . A wee wave and smile would go a long way. 😊👋 nice wee friendly shops in the town and a good park for the kids. 🌊☀️
Excellent caravan well equipped sea view lovely maintained site.
Amazing holiday again. Fabulous pitch/pitches right on the sea shore. The caravan site is well managed. A range of pitches for motor homes/caravans and tents. Usual water and drainage facilities. Serviced pitches are available. Toilets and campers kitchen are kept spotless. There is an outside shower for wetsuits with warm water. Accessible path to the beach. The caravan park also has two accessible statics available. I’d say the overall facilities are well above average and well thought out. There is easy access to the coastal path linking to Burghead and a more challenging walk to Lossiemouth. The site also has excellent food option at Bootleggers which can be take away if you prefer. Also live music at the weekend. Fabulous sitting balcony upstairs . Not guaranteed but you might be lucky to spot the passing dolphins
We come every year to west beach. We love the proximity to the beach, the food and bar at Bootleggers, the cleanliness of the caravans. It's a great place for water sports. Hopeman has great food places too, the chippie, take away and ice cream parlour and Braemou pub.We love the area, we always cycle to Findhorn and Lossiemouth. It's a beautiful coast. We went to the new sauna for the first time.Facilities in the van are great, what would make them ideal would be the return of the plastic chopping boards ( the glass ones are weird!), food caddies/recycling and more hooks around the van - there's nowhere to just hang a jacket or hoodie. You can't have enough hooks! And non stick pans 😉
Superb campsite. Spotlessly clean, hot water and showers excellent. Outside hot showers for wetsuit cleaning. So close to an amazing beach and the village has fantastic facilities.
Stay started very well, first impressions were good, lovely looking site, location was great and we were met by a very friendly bloke on the reception and the pitch we'd chosen was right on the sea.Unfortunately, facilities were seriously lacking given we were staying at the start of the week, there was no food options and Hopeman is also lacking in options (obviously not West Beach's fault). The toilet facilities again, at first sight, were smart looking, shepherds huts were unusual and a different approach to facilities which was good but cleaning seemed a little lax and were filthy at points and not just from folks that had used the facilities previously. All of which we could put up with but we paid full price which was more than anywhere else we stayed for the rest of the week and we felt like it was very expensive. If the bar was open, then fine, happy to pay the premium price but felt there should be a discounted price when nothing is open.
Very unhelpful, and an unpleasant environment to stay in
