Great weekend despite the weather

Grady, Chris - 10/05/2024

Spent the weekend with siblings and their children agree between 7 and 15 and everyone had a great time. The pitches are large enough for big tents and the facilities spotless for the duration we stayed. There are two washing up sinks inside and multiple toilets and shower rooms and a washer and dryer as well(payable}. The only complaint we would have is that the grass could have done with a cut prior to the bank holiday weekend however it may have been left due to the amount of rain the previous week. We walked to the Bee inn via the fields which took about 40 mins and would recommend it for a drink as the staff were very welcoming. Overall a great stay. Thanks

Tent pitch. Fantastic campsite and great hosts!

Thorpe, Hannah - 10/05/2024

This campsite is very well maintained, cleaned regularly and has all the required amenities. The views are breathtaking. Bethan and Arfon are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Communication beforehand was fast and informative. Close proximity to Llandudno junction and Colwyn Bay (which has a great beach). The tent pitches are very generous and defined by wooden dividers set on the perimeter of a large field. Large open central space provides plenty of playing space within view for young children. Separate dog walking/playing area. Two large accessible shower rooms handy for family use. Will definitely be booking again…especially if they get the permission for hot tubs on the camping field too :)

Another fantastic stay at Waenfecham. I was onPitch 25 with a hot tub & amazing views over to the estuary. Everything has been thought of to ensure a relaxing stay. It is all spotlessly clean, great facilities & really hassle free. Great circular walk around the local lanes with fab views & so much to see & do just a short drive away. Fab site!

Its Changed.

This was our second visit to waenfechan to stay with Bethan and Arfon, our first was outstanding - the pods were fresh and welcoming, warm and inviting - we stayed in pod 2 last time. This time we were put in pod 3 - now I understand things can age with time but I felt slight maintinence was needed and it kills me to say this - the flooring had chips on the edges of the laminate (none dangerous purley cosmetic!) , in the corner of the bathroom the age of the shower tray was showing as slight black mould and discolouration - the heating or lighting also wasn't on for our arrival as it was last time and it just felt colder in hosting. The grass had appeared through hard standing around the pod too.General upkeep and this would be back to the standards I saw and fell in love with back 2 years ago.I have to say its left me pretty upset .The views as always still sell themselves and the remote setting still always amazing - bedding clean and fresh, pod still had everything you need so

Our second stay here & once again it didn’t disappoint. We’ve tried both types of pod but can’t decide which is better, so we’ll keep going back until we do!The site is beautiful & the welcome as warm as the hot tub .

AMAZING

Lovatt, Lynda - 02/05/2024

This was our first trip with our dog in the camper and we could not have hoped for a better site. The views were amazing, ample sized pitches to fit the van and awning, convenient dog run area, sparkling clean bathroom facilities, super warm hot tub and incredibly helpful site owners.Furthermore, the location was a great base for days out. Really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic stay

Kenyon, Alex - 02/05/2024

We stayed for two nights in our campervan on a hot tun pitch. It was brilliant. The hot tub was very private and under cover in case it rained or was cold getting in and out. It was lovely and hot! The views from the campsite are incredible and we watched the sunset go down. You are not far from all things to do around the area. We went for a lovely long walk around the area and stopped off at the pub down the road. Toilets and showers were super clean and warm inside. The elsen point, water point and bins/recycling were also in a good spot and neat and tidy. I will definitely be returning! Thank you.

This campsite has it all. The perfect views, facilities and the pitches. Very good value for money.

Akers, Rebecca - 30/04/2024

The views & the sunset were stunning. You couldn't see the mountains from our pitch but just walking around the site taking them in was brilliant. I think they can be seen from most pitches though. It was easy to get too and close to a town, you could even get food delivered! The toilets and showers were the best We've ever had at a site. They were always clean and so warm! Rainfall showers and ceiling to floor cubicles for both shower and toilets. Obviously it was quieter while we were staying but I'm sure it would be the same in the summer. The hot tub pitch was brilliant, so nice to have the luxury of the hot tub but also the shelter to put our things in. You wouldn't need an awning when on this pitch. We had nice weather but we could see how this would be useful in bad weather. They have a privacy curtain so we were able to get changed in here too. Pitches nicely spaced out and level. We would love to stay on the grass pitches in the future too. We will return.

Great getaway

Carter, Jo - 29/04/2024

The sat nav took us up some single track roads where two way traffic isn't a possibility, upon arrival had a perfect welcome. The site is in a good location and within 45 mins can access a vast area of Snowdonia. The amenities are good, with a fridge, freezer, microwave and the areas we're always clean. If the site was busy the showers may become more heavily used but during out trip they were clean, fairly large and well thought through with plenty of hanging space.Local attractions Conwy, Llandudno, zip world etc.It would have been nice to have a food style van, oven baked pizza etc as an option. This might happen at more peak times in the summer. The hot tub was super warm, clean and the wooden style huts are brilliant as you can change, eat and stay out the wind.Would definitely recommend staying here.
