The site is well maintained, facilities clean, and pitches level.There seems to have been a move since my last visit a couple of years' ago to "gadgetry" which isn't always to the benefit of the customer. Given that I was paying nearly £60 a night to then need to use an app to activate the pitch hook-up which would charge me for excessive usage seemed unnecessary (even though there is an initial allowance that I didn't exceed), and it may just have been the shower cubicle that I used, but the "touch sensitive" button was extremely intermittent (sometimes just wave near it, sometimes several seconds of firm contact, sometimes soapy hands not accepted) and the water temperature was quite dependent on other users - personally I would have preferred a simple mechanical push button, but investment in thermostatic valves, neither of which would require electrical power to work, unlike the temperamental touch button.Oh, and visitors will be charged, but not get anywhere to park!

Our annual week at Twelve Oaks did not disappoint. Sighting numerous hedgehogs rosming at night was a new delight and the shop’s steaks absolutely gorgeous. All the other guests seem to have the same idea about a good holiday, at 10.30 the site falls silent save for the owls.The road closures were not particularly inconveient and left the lanes wonderfully quiet for the ofd midnight stroll.Having Highfield Caravans just up the road is particularly handy when, for example the kettle packs up before I’ve had my caffeine fix.Clare and Andrew have created something special and as always we booked for next year on the way out.

Very friendly staff. Good facilities on site. Only issue was major roadworks all around the area on the A38. Road closer made things difficult to get to place and back to camp.

Right on the doorstep to the Templar Way cycle track, close enough to walk to Newton Abbot, 20 mins to Teignmouth and similar to get to Dartmoor. The village of Teigngrace and the farm’s location out the outskirts means it’s a quiet tranquil location to sit back and enjoy.

All round a good camping experience. Prior to arrival I read all the electric hook up instructions and app details , however it was still a challenge getting it working and for some reason switched off every morning at 11 am and you had to restart the process again. we were not told this would happened went out for the day to come back to all our cooler box being warm and food off!

Nice private pitch next to friends. Quiet and great for kids to get around on bikes etc. The fishing lake was a definite plus for my eldest though have walk/cycle on main road with no path to get there. The food place was good and did great food for a good price and all staff were very helpful and polite. The last night we were kept awake until 4am by some rowdy campers unfortunately.The swimming pool probably needs more attention and the toilets need to be cleaned a bit more often but apart from that was a nice stay.

Part of a farm and recommended, it didnt disappoint. Staff lovely and helpful, facilities were amazing. Loads of space between pitches and whole site nicely laid out and well kept. I havent used a pool for years - bit fussy as to cleanliness and temperature - but in I went and loved it. Short road walk, but with care, to get to lovely walks, including Templar Way and history of canal working. There is a tea garden by first lock but was not open for our visit. Only downside was the site ‘kitchen’ was closed the days we were there so no Farmers Breakfast or very good priced cider in the evenings. But good excuse to revisit. Very well stocked shop with the beautiful farm grown meat

We're just back from our 5th two week stay at this lovely site. We've never visited any other site more than once! and we have been doing this for 30 years or more. See my earlier reviews. There is something just right with this site. You can tell that it is family run, it has just the perfect balance of a well cared for site with lovely facilities and that rustic charm of a farm background. Vibes of Clarkson's Farm too.The classic car show at Powderham Castle Saturday 11th July and Sunday 12th July 2026 was well worth a visit, we went both days, absolutely amazing.We loved that the Field Kitchen was now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We had a few good meals there. Small criticism, blocks of wood under the table legs wouldn't go amiss, they are a bit sloping.The fishing lake was good yet again. Best fish was 14lb 10oz, a common carp. There were a few others in the 6 - 10lb range, mostly caught on Peperami on a method feeder or a floating dog biscuit. Not many silv
