Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.

This area is quieter and more secluded as well as being close to the Orchard amenities block (Please Note: There are a few steps up into the building so it is not suitable for disabled access).
The Orchard is shielded by hedges and has a selection of both old & new apple and plum trees - many of which are local heritage varieties.

The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.
Pitch selection incurs a £5 additional charge.
Extra-large grass pitches with 16 amp electric hookup. The site is level and has lots of open space on well kept grass.

The site was peaceful and everything was clean. I would suggest that you could do with a small groceries shop.
Thank you for your review and feedback, we're delighted that you enjoyed our site.Unfortunately we don't have the premises for commercial food storage. However, the nearest shop is just over 2 miles away and we are lucky enough to have several supermarkets nearby too. We hope to be able to welcome you back sometime.Kind regards.
We really had a nice time dispiite the weather staff really nice and helpful and very friendly with pets always wanted to give them treats.I will definitely be going again
It is always a good location to get away and chill.
Fabulous little site with so many amenities near by, Slimbridge wetlands centre is a great day out either by your self or with younger family members. Walk along the canal, meet lovely folk along the way and lots of wildlife. Tudor arm pub serves a cracking Sunday roast, and bar food during the week. Its such a convenient stop when traveling north or south along the M5 corridor.
Tudor Caravan Park is a peaceful site. It's position right next door to the canal is great, and the wetlands, which is definitely worth a visit, is only a short walk up the road. The pub on the doorstep to the site is lovely, great food and very friendly staff. The only negative was the Elsan, in a very bad state, needed cleaning!!!Also I think it is a shame that the small shop, in reception, didn't stock a few essentials, such as bread/milk.They are small things though, and we would definitely return.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We are so surprised to hear that the Elsan wasn't clean as it is cleaned every day. If you ever have a problem like that again, please do let us know at the time so that we can sort out the issue and ensure its something that doesn't reoccur. Unfortunately our premises aren't suitable for commercial food storage which is why we don't have a shop selling essentials. However, from May through to September, we will have an exclusive, small market with our local farmer selling their own cheeses, milk, eggs and butter, a local bakery selling breads and pastries and a local chap selling delicious coffees on every Saturday morning. 9 - 12. We hope you will be able to stay with us when this is on and enjoy the produce.Kind regards.
There are always places to go and see lovely part of the world, and great staff who are there to helpwhat else could you need ,we have been there many times in the orchard and the meadows intendon coming for many more years hopefully,
We had a lovely stay. Staff super friendly and helpful.facilities very clean despite the rain and mud. Lovely and close to the canal for early morning dog walks
This our 6th stay and we will continue to return as it is a good base for visiting family and friends. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The site is clean and well serviced. It will be amazing when the new shower block is complete. To sit and watch the many birds and the night sky is so relaxing. Country walks and cycle rides from the campsite as well as the pub on the door step make this a perfect place to stay.
Beautiful area , the site is nice & the pub is on the doorstep & serves food , the black shed on the canal is great for a relaxing coffee or lunch , my only gripe is the fact that you have to get out of the motor home to open an entrance gate into the site !...it was raining heavily when we arrived on our first visit & by the time i opened the gate waited for my husband to drive in & closed the gate i was soaked!.. i understand the security implications but other sites have the gate open during the day & closed after office hours ?... we found this to be a nuisance every time we needed to leave site be it with a bike or prams ... most people whinged about it ..
Thank you for you review and feedback, and we're sorry about the gate but when it's left open we end up with people going to the pub driving around and trying to park on site. This is obviously not what we want so we make sure it's closed at all times. It is a pain we know......we als9 have to open and close it behind us but it is definitely the best way to keep our site quiet and safe.Kind regards.
Easter 2024 and following week stayedon the adult only section. We dodged the rain which made the site soggy, and the paths were very grey clay. The second shower and toilet block was not open due to refurbishment, but website was stating they would have it open for Easter. Saying that location ideal for Bristol, Gloucester and Cotswolds. Excellent pub basically on site. We would definitely recommend and go again.
Thank you for your review and feedback. The website actually stated that we were hoping to have the facilities open for Easter. Sadly, due to being let down with materials, we have been put several weeks behind. However, every single person who books in the Orchard is immediately sent an email to let them know the facilities aren't open so that everyone is aware. We are looking forward to being able to open them soon and hope you enjoy them on a later visit. Kind regards.
