Our children really enjoyed the play area and football pitch which was conveniently located near to our pitch. the showers and toilets were very clean. The bus into St. Ives to and from the campsite was great and drops you in the town.

If you have been to prison you will like this place. The guards aka staff do patrols and any minor thing is cracked down on. I got to meet the guvoner who jas never camped in his life and just wants every last pound out of you.Bring a bucket as the loo is miles away. Bushes sees all sorts as that is what people use

This is our second visit and again it lives up to expectations. The park and playing field are excellent spaces for the kids to play and the loved the 9pm warden hide and seek. The facilities are well ma in gained and always immaculate.

The road leading to the site was the least stressful road we encountered on our South West Tour, pitch sizes were generous and ours were close by to toilets/showers which is so helpful when in a small camper van. The bus stopping on site each hour to take you back and forth to St Ives was such a bonus but there were plenty of walks to take from the site too. A friendly and immaculately maintained site, you can order fresh pastries for breakfast each morning and there are weekly visits from a pizza van and fish and chips

We loved our stay at Travalgan - it was a great memory for us having last been 40 years ago when it was just a field with outdoor showers!Now it is a well-run site, spotlessly clean with spacious pitches and a play area for children. The outside individual showers are excellent though might be enhanced with the addition of a shower curtain to contain the spray. We would have liked a bar/ restaurant and though there was the option of mobile food trucks this was only available for weekend meals. It was a bonus having the bus to take us to St Ives - that wax a bonus. With its own restaurant and bar area this would be a top notch site for us - but otherwise it is still a lovely place to stay!

We have been visiting Trevalgan for about 6 years now. We have not found such good facilities anywhere else and the site is kept immaculate. The staff are always cheerful and helpful and the site bus makes a big difference.We enjoyed the thunder and lightening this year and it was good to be a bit cooler than the rest of the country!We hope to return next year.

Nice big campsite with very spacious pitches, friendly staff and good, clean amenities (sadly a bit of a long walk to the toilets and showers, from our pitch). Nice to have a bus driving to and from St. Ives to the campsite. A lot to do in the area. We visited St. Ives, Botallack mines, Cape Cornwall, St. Michaels Mount and the best beach ever Pedn Vounder (dangerous climb to get there!). And walked different parts of the South West Coast Path. Had lovely dinner at the Tinners Arms and the Engine Inn, but were a bit shocked by the dinner prices at the Gurnard’s Head. We had a lot of wind the days we were at the campsite, so we sat inside our tent a couple of evenings. Don’t know if it is a windy area at all times.
