A caravan and camping site near Lincoln, Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park & Sundown Adventureland. All just a short drive away from our idyllic camp site.

Camping here is an ideal base to visit the local area, Lincoln Cathedral is clearly visible from the site, and we are quite lucky the Red Arrows often practice over the farm. There are many attractions in the area, such as Sherwood Forest visitor centre, the beautiful Clumber Park, Doddington Hall and a little further away such as Nottingham & Creswell Crags.

Trentfield Farm accepts, tents, caravans, motorhome’s and VW campers. We have electrical hook up for those who require it, and 4 way pitches if you wish to camp with your friends in a group. We welcome BBQ’s but campfires & fire pits are not permitted.

The Park has flat level grass pitches, optional electrical hook ups, a modern amenity block as well as non communal family wash rooms, a recycling facility, and a large washing up area as well as a washing machine and tumble drier. We don’t have a shop on the park, but do have a vending machine for milk etc. We are also dog friendly.

Need electric for charging those gadgets? You don’t need to worry, we charge phones, ipads, laptops etc free of charge in the office.

Within a walk from the park are two pubs, the Ferry Boat Inn a 10 minute stroll down the tow path, and in the main village The Bee’s Knees, serving award winning ales. (It’s also famed for its gin library), both serving great food. We also have a nearby shop a short drive away, as well as a number of local take away’s that deliver to site.

The park is particularly attractive to those who enjoy walking and cycling, with miles of quiet roads, tracks and footpaths.

So if you are looking for an ideal base for camping or caravan site near Lincoln, Clumber Park or Sherwood forest, you are in the right place.

I behaved on my review !!!:-On arrival we were greeted with a sheet of rules. Gates locked at night so no coming and going after 11.00. Camp pitches were a good size but seems every this is charged extra for. We were charged for pup tents and extra cars. Even a friend visiting was chargable. We all felt watched, staff patrolled the site all night, often saying goodnight like we should all be in bed while we cooked and whispered around the bbq.Positive notes : clean and tidy, toilets and showers good, good size pitches, good local pub with live music.

Thank you for taking the time to write a your review. I shall also behave in my reply!! The sheet of "rules" is an information sheet of local shops eateries and places to go and some campsite do's and don'ts to make sure everyone has a pleasant time. Had you taken the time to read it you would have seen this. We do indeed charge for extra people and units, its called a business it doesn't come free, as I presume you don't work for free! We do walk round in the evening to make sure all is well and quiet and campers are not being disturbed. If you book a "quiet site" don't be shocked if you are actually asked to keep your voices down so as not to disturb others after quiet time.

First time at Trentfield

Davies, Sarah - 31/08/2024

We choose Trentfield for its location by the river and the promise of great walks from the door and 3 local pubs. We arrived a little early (1:15pm) as traffic easier but we were turned away until 2pm. This was a little confusing as over the next two days many others were let in early. Anyway, we had lunch down the road by the river so wasn’t a problem. The field was nice and big and gave everyone lots of room. Only 3 showers and one of those didn’t lock so had to pick your time. We were surprised that one of the nights there was music and a pizza shack in the other camping field but we had no clue in our field - bit of a ‘them and us’? Also this coincided with live music at the local pub which again was not advertised. You would think that local business would work together? The advertised OS map for walks was actually a A4 photo copy. Lovely walk up and down the river but not the far reaching walks we were expecting. We had booked for 4 nights but left after 2.

Good MorningThank you for taking the time to write us a review and for the 4*s I am also very sorry that you did not enjoy your time with us. As you can see from the majority of reviews we work hard to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.Unfortunately when you arrived the team where on their lunch and there was no one available to book you in.Had you let us know you were going to arrive early that could have been easily rectified. There are a couple of things I would just like to clarify in your review. The shower door not locking we are very sorry but had no idea, if you had reported this to a team member it could have been easily sorted. The music afternoon was organised by fellow campers in aid of "McMillan" they had put posters up on the notice board (at the toilet block) and on the office door. It was attended by campers from both fields, Defiantly no "them and us"!!With regards to the walking map we print off the section of the OS that covers a 15k perimeter of the campsite, we don't give out originals as unfortunately they don't always come back. Again you only needed to ask if you wanted to venture further.I do hope you will give us another chance to make your stay next time more enjoyable.Kind RegardsThe Trentfield Team
