Plenty of space, it seems impossibble this camping can ever be fully booked. However it was not possible for me to book an extra day on the site.Luckily for me it was possible to stay one more day, Nice new bar inside, opened at the weekend i learned. This was a perfect landing for me when i came in.Only the water in the shower is not very hot.But you can shower as long as you like! I love The Haldi restaurant, these Bangladesh people know how to make excellent dishes fot fair prices.And luckily for me they serve ciders too. The walk from the camping to the village through the sheepfield and socalled kissinggate is a very nice one.

Lovely campsite, amazing views, great facilities, clean and lots of them. Friendly staff. Good to be able to choose where to pitch, and lots of space. I live 10 mins down the road but really felt I was having a mini break!

First campervan trip of 2025!Only 9 miles from home but still felt like a real getaway.The campsite was extremely clean with great facilities.Loved being able to hire and use the fire pits.Great walking straight from the campsite and loved the pizza van.Will certainly be returning for a spontaneous van trip.

My son and I camped here for the first time just before Easter. it is a relatively local site for us but we did not realise how lovely it is here - both the site, the views and the surrounding area. We could only stay for a night so did not have time to explore much, but will do so when we return. We had dinner at the Rose and Crown, as advised, and it was very tasty. We had a friendly and informative welcome from George, and this was echoed by other members of the family we met during our stay. The facilities were clean, functioning and useful. We had a large field to ourselves as it was early in the season (and somewhat cold!) but we liked it this way. My son's only (mild) complaint was that the grass was a bit long to play football on! We will definitely return for a longer stay.

The views were amazing and facilities very clean. It was a bit of a long walk to the facilities that would be my only complaint. But next time we will make sure we pitch up closer to this. I think it would be beneficial if there was a designated enclosed dog walk area where you could let your dogs off for a run, as I am not able to walk far and this would be great for disabled people. Pop up catering and bar was a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly. Lots of things to do in the area. All in all a great stay and we will definitely be back.

Excellent camping grounds , very clean ablutions , nearby lovely hiking trail & great staff esp Jack.Been our favourite campsites for the last 3 yrs and love coming back

What can I say, possibly one of the best sites we’ve stayed on. Great facilities, great friendly/attentive staff and unbelievable views. Would return in a heartbeat!

The facilities were great and very clean. The pitch area was wonderful and theres lots of walk options around that are very accessible from the site
