Lovely site brilliant for the kids . View is just stunning. Super clean and tidy well run and just overall a lovely place.
We stayed as four families with mixed age children from 3-12. The camp was so incredible, the kids were able to play safely in the fields, games room and park. Facilities were clean and spacious. The fridges etc were a brilliant touch. We did the big walk opposite the site twice during our stay and it was well worth the views. We will be back!
We had a great stay - the facilities are superb and kept very clean. Kitchen was a real win with the fridges and freezer.Looking forward to coming back to visit.
The site is open with plenty of space. Family groups are encouraged and the no outdoor music rule means it's only the sound of laughter and chat that gently rolls around the place. There are many walks to enjoy from a short stroll to one of the two local pubs to a longer distance hike. Ivinghoe Beacon is great to fly kites or admire the view. The toilet blocks are currently tired but plans are afoot to update
Camped for the night with my kids, a friend & his child as the wives went on a spa night. Only 20 minutes from home but felt like on holiday. Easy check in, picked our spot on the field facing play area (kids loved it). Toilets & facilities spotless! Shame little bar wasn’t open - popped to pub round the corner for a bit. Overall a good all round experience!
This is the second time my family have stayed at Town farm campsite. It is fairly local to us and a great place for children to enjoy freedom in a safe environment. The staff are friendly and helpful and it is good value for money. The pop up food is super.. The showers and toilets are very clean and well maintained. Have booked another weekend at the beginning of September.
My partner and I have been coming to Town Farm for a few years now and it is a place we always return to. The views are outstanding, you could easily imagine yourself to be deep in the country and not 20 minutes from civilisation. There is plenty to do in the local area, all of which are a short drive away. The facilities are adequate and meet our needs. We like the addition of the bar and the variety of pop up caterers. In the female block, the length of time you get to shower without the water turning off has increased which is good. However, it does cause flooding in the block as the water seaps under the shower curtains. Would longer shower curtains or shower trays help?I find the shower cubicles in the block by the hard standing pitches, very claustrophobic and have never used them. If you make any changes to the shower cubicles, please don’t make them like those showers. They remind me of being in a cupboard! Thank you.
The camping has good facilities like clean toilets, well equipped kitchen (including, fridges, freezer, water cookers and microwaves for camping use). We used the campsite as a basepoint for visiting Bletchley Park. Watford and Londen (drive to Stanmore in 40 minutes and you are on the Jubilee line into the city centre. Or 45 minutes drive to the endpoint of the Piccadilly line). There is little shade on the campsite and the road can be noisy, but that didn't bother us to much. During one week of camping, we had only two nights that we heard airplanes to Luton airport. Do not forget to hike to the beacon hill on the opposite of the camping to watch the sun go down. And on Friday (and sometimes Monday) there is a pizza van with really good pizza's!
Beautiful location, clean facilities, enjoyed the food trucks. Maybe a bit expensive for a non electric campsite though, but we would come back and pay again!
I booked a spontaneous overnight trip for myself and my 3 young kids to visit Rushmere Country Park. Town Farm was close by and I chose it because it had a play area and good facilities. I was greeted on arrival by a really friendly member of staff who helped me choose a spot opposite the play area. The kids ran off immediately and made friends and I didn’t see them again until dinner time! The site felt really safe and secure, the showers and toilets were clean and well maintained. The games room was a bonus and the views were spectacular. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay next time!
