Needs an update

Bathrooms were smelly. View was lovely as was the walk to the beach and the play areaLodge was very basic and coldUnfortunately we were reassigned a lodge at the very last minute so could not be next door to our friends who had also booked. This was disappointing. The oven did not look to be a fan oven- unfortunately I sustained a steam burn to my hand on opening the oven Could have done with a welcome pack of milk etc as amenities are far away and difficult to get to (back in Haverfrord west or Londis in Broad Haven)Could have done with advice on how many pairs of wellies to bring as the area was very wet and muddy so children ruined their shoes instantly.

Short stay but a good one.

Lovely well laid out cabin. Pretty well equipped. The provision of bed linen and making of beds for arrival was a very welcome one. Especially when travelling with young children. The views were amazing. Very tranquil stay.

Convenient for Pembokeshire Coast and Attractions

Willis, David - 22/10/2024

Well located with easy access to Broad Haven either by road or via a woodland path and well laid out with plenty of space around the lodges. The lodge was clean and tidy when we arrived and basic cookware and crockery provided. Bedding is also provided as standard but it was a little surprising that towels ordered were a bath towel each but only one shared hand towel.Information about site facilities and the local area was very good and it's clear they take environmental issues seriously in their site management and development.

Cozy lodges in a lovely location

Dean, Hannah - 27/09/2024

The site is lovely. Quiet with picturesque views, and close to the town and beach. Also handy to have the laundry services, which we used a couple of times. The lodge was really cosy but it would have been great to have a few more more basic things stocked, e.g. hand wash, cooking oil. We felt it was quite wasteful to have to buy these types of things, only to use a small amount. I also think it's worth having the towels included rather than as an extra (and just adding the cost to the price of the lodge).

Disconnect from the bustle, connect with the wild

Mallandain, Kristina - 27/09/2024

My sister and I have fond memories of staying at Timber Hill with our grandparents over 25 years ago. We recently rediscovered it through social media and couldn’t resist booking a weekend stay. It was one of the most relaxing weekends we’ve had in a long time. The cabin is cosy, offering everything you need as a base for exploring. Being fairly remote, we stocked up on essentials a few miles before arriving—something worth planning for. The site is peaceful; we even heard owls at night. Broad Haven is a short walk away, with lots of trails nearby, including access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. The cabin was clean and well-equipped, with bed linen provided and a smart TV for relaxing evenings. It was a wonderful escape from the busyness of life, and we left feeling refreshed. We can’t wait to come back!

An amazing place to stay!

Barker, Philip - 23/09/2024

Peaceful, quiet, in the heart of nature, 20 minute walk to the beach through woods, or through countryside with spectacular views. Fishing and birdwatching. No restaurant or bar. That’s a positive! Although there are some 30 or so cabins they are well spaced and “angled” so they don’t overlook each other. Friendly helpful staff. We had to change our dates at very short notice. No problem. This place is magical. Broad Haven has shop, restaurants and cafes. Post Office. And the huge clean beach. So many places to visit and see in the area. Ten minutes from coastal path. Cabin was spotless and warm, with huge south facing balcony.

We have been coming to Timber Hill for a week's break for over 40 years now, and it is still perfect.Possibly not suitable for those with mobility problems, but wonderful for families, walkers, and those seeking peace and quiet and a lazy stay.Broad Haven is not far away with a beautiful beach, shop, toilets, icecreams etc.
