This Is the place to be, if you are a walker, it's just off the SWCP. The surfing is also just down the road; just want to sit back and relax - what a view you will have. There is a reason they call it The View. The site is spotless due to the outstanding staff who will do all they can to make your stay the best it can. There is an on-site shop which is very well stocked with all the everyday items you would need. The staff who are in the shop are great, they have a wealth of local knowledge which they can help you. The freshly-baked baguettes in the morning are great, but they go quickly, so make sure to book in advance. The cafe/restaurant has very reasonably priced meals, all made when you order. It's good to get home-cooked food when you're away and also have a beer after without going anywhere, just sit and watch the sun go down. Thanks for a great stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone
I’ve stayed many times at The View over the years, from the first season it was “The View”. Life has been busy though and not managed to get here for a couple of years. Never been disappointed, the Staff are all amazing, helpful and happy! The site is spotless, the facilities are spot on, clean, well maintained and the Cafe/Bar in Season is fantastic if you just don’t feel like camp cooking or even fixing your own drink. The atmosphere is always very friendly, I’ve just been at the very end of the season and loved it, The View lives up to its name with the actual view changing every day and always amazing (ok minus fog days!).Been with partner, partner and two children, plus it minus two dogs and recently by myself. It’s been amazing every time. Walking distance down the costal path in to Watergate Bay where there are places to eat and drink or just walk on the beach. If you fancy a longer walk or runs the path opens up for mile with views even further!!
One criticism would be to keep the cafe/bar open until the end of season. It’s not many more weeks after the main season that you close and it would have been nice to go and relax there at times during our visit. Maybe even just at the weekend?
Wonderful site, good pitch sizes, very useful little shop, friendly staff and having the option of fully serviced pitches is the cherry on the top..
Lovely clean and quiet site with absolutely stunning sea views and super close to the coastal path. Very clean facilities with lovely Hot showers and a nice washing up area.
Lovely campsite and easy to book. Toilets and showers very clean and the site well looked after. The last in the shop was lovely. We had a great stay for 2 nights and great value .
Always have a great time here, great pitches friendly staff, and fantastic views
Well organised with good size pitches. In a tent but had a serviced pitch so we can go out in the morning and sit on our private patio overlooking Watergate which we love - we order warm croissants from the camp shop :)Would have been grateful to have the cafe opened at least part of the day - though appreciate the season is ending - just it would have been nice given the awful weather some days/being in a tent!Thank you for all your help Tina - as always a smiling face to greet you :)
Weather was not my friend, but pitch was great size and patio area was a brilliant addition. Showers and toilets were good and clean.Disappointed the cafe was closed, even if it had only been open as somewhere to sit out of the rain without any services it would have been nice. Think that pitches could do with the plastic or metal grids to help with combating mud and wear. But, would definitely stay again, I just need better weather.
Second time staying here and the location is stunning. Facilities are good and the receptionists in the shop were super helpful. Great sea views and amazing walks out if the campsite. Definitely would recommend and will definitely return.
