Whether you are arriving from Holland, from Harwich, or setting off on your journey to the continent, you won’t find a better, more convenient place to stay than Strangers Holiday Park.
Strangers Holiday Park is a gated Holiday Touring Park located in Bradfield, near Manningtree in Essex. Comprising of just 20 Touring Pitches and Holiday Lodges now available for ownership, it is wonderfully positioned overlooking the beautiful Stour Estuary.
As the closest caravan park to Harwich Port, we welcome all holiday tourers from Holland and the Continent, as well as UK holidaymakers preparing to embark on their journey to the Hook of Holland.
Stay a night just passing through or stay longer and take in the beautiful countryside, towns and villages.
Strangers Holiday Park is in the perfect location to holiday and use as a base to make the most of day’s out to local towns and local attractions.
Visit Colchester Zoo and many historic properties including Lower Marney Tower, Audley End House and Mountfitchet Castle.
From your base here at Strangers Holiday Park, you will find that there is a wealth of interesting and enjoyable things to do and places to visit, both within a short distance and further afield.
The pleasant town of Manningtree just less than 3 miles away is a relaxing place to walk on the pathway alongside the River Stour, a river made famous by John Constable, who lived in nearby Flatford and painted Flatford Mill (Scene on a navigable River) and The Hay Wain.
The City of Colchester is 13 miles away and did you know, it’s from Colchester that you can take the train directly to London in less than an hour? It would be possible to see London in a day although we would recommend spending a bit more time to visit this incredible city as there is so much to see.
We welcome guests with Caravans & Motorhomes and offer Electric hook up points.
The Strangers holiday park is an adult only park which is a 4 acre site, situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Come and enjoy the Essex & Suffolk countryside.

Being only recent motorhome owners, we never know what to expect. This place offered a warm, friendly welcome. The facilities were clean and plentiful. Lovely pitch in great surroundings made our short stay perfect
Nice well maintained site. With good facilities. Will definitely come back.
Lovely place right outside a pleasent comunity. Nice staff, the manager let us in hours vegore incheck and let us stay for a while longer at outcheck, due to our ferry departure hours. Althoug off season, we found the staff really nice. The bathroom facilities was nice and clean. The campground was stable and tidy.
You can book a pitch on the website. In the mail you receive you get a pitch number. But you do not know where it is, because there is no map of the campingsite on the website! So please add a map with pitch numbers! The campingsite itself is great and good pitches. In the evening you are welcomed by the owner/site warden? Which is very nice.Only the toilet blocks are a little out aged and the showers looks not very clean. Baskets at the doors not clean, dead musquitos and flies in windows. That just does not feel comfortable when washing/showering.
Good camping, price not cheap, but good quality
The staff was very nice. However, we did not receive the automatic PIN for the doors as was promised by the system, which led to us having to disturb them late in the evening which made us very uncomfortable. The pitches were in a good shape. The showers and toilets were outdated and in parts in disrepair - which is not in itself a problem - but had also apparently only been cleaned on the surface, which gave them a shabby and grimy feel.We were sad to find out the the adjacent pub was closed - google had told us another story. The overall price performance ratio was poor. Therefore, I would absolutely not recommend staying there, especially if it's only for a night before or after the ferry - you can definitely find a cheaper or better place for this (I would even have preferred staying directly on the parking dock).
Toilet block small for the size of site though no issues when I was there as the site was very quiet.Somewhat pricey, as no shop, bar etc but I understood the pub was being renovated.Very convenient for the ferry.
Nice site. Ideally located for ferry port. Well maintained site. Toilets and showers clean but could benefit from some updating. Quite pricey for one night stay.
The campsite is very good, the sanitary block needs an update.
