Whether you are arriving from Holland, from Harwich, or setting off on your journey to the continent, you won’t find a better, more convenient place to stay than Strangers Holiday Park.
Strangers Holiday Park is a gated Holiday Touring Park located in Bradfield, near Manningtree in Essex. Comprising of just 20 Touring Pitches and Holiday Lodges now available for ownership, it is wonderfully positioned overlooking the beautiful Stour Estuary.
As the closest caravan park to Harwich Port, we welcome all holiday tourers from Holland and the Continent, as well as UK holidaymakers preparing to embark on their journey to the Hook of Holland.
Stay a night just passing through or stay longer and take in the beautiful countryside, towns and villages.
Strangers Holiday Park is in the perfect location to holiday and use as a base to make the most of day’s out to local towns and local attractions.
Visit Colchester Zoo and many historic properties including Lower Marney Tower, Audley End House and Mountfitchet Castle.
From your base here at Strangers Holiday Park, you will find that there is a wealth of interesting and enjoyable things to do and places to visit, both within a short distance and further afield.
The pleasant town of Manningtree just less than 3 miles away is a relaxing place to walk on the pathway alongside the River Stour, a river made famous by John Constable, who lived in nearby Flatford and painted Flatford Mill (Scene on a navigable River) and The Hay Wain.
The City of Colchester is 13 miles away and did you know, it’s from Colchester that you can take the train directly to London in less than an hour? It would be possible to see London in a day although we would recommend spending a bit more time to visit this incredible city as there is so much to see.
We welcome guests with Caravans & Motorhomes and offer Electric hook up points.
The Strangers holiday park is an adult only park which is a 4 acre site, situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Come and enjoy the Essex & Suffolk countryside.

Good value for money
This site is a great location if you are using the Stena Ferry to hook of Holland. However the facilities are some of the worst I've seen. Really run down, black mould everywhere, toilets barely flush and not that clean either. Only a 1 night stay for us thankfully and we didn't brave the showers. Not what you expect at £45 a night!!
A nice tidy site. Good security on the gate. Has everything needed for a camping stay including electric hook up, water fill up point, toilet waste emptying etc. There were toilets and showers which were clean but perhaps in need of upgrading. Overall a pleasant stay. Would consider using again if we were in the area.
Location is nice, quiet and handy when travelling by ferry Hoek van Holland - Harwich. The pub at the roadsite is handy for a drink and some meals.
Super convenient for Harwich in a lovely village with a great pub and a nice coffee shop / wine bar. The greeting was excellent…both friendly and informative. The showers desperately need work at that price…particularly given the comparisons that will be made with Europe given the nature of the clientele.
Always a friendly welcome when you stay at Strangers camp site, there is a lovely walk down to the estuary where we have had many picnics and swims. There is a really friendly pub just up the road that does wood fired pizzas on a Tuesday, no food on other days. on site is a wine bar/tea room that has just opened in an old pub building , which is a lovely place. This is separate to the camp site.
This is our second visit. The sit eis very basic but lovely and quiet with good toilet and shower facilities. There is a little coffee shop/book shop on-site that turns into a wine bar in the afternoon/evening. It's a short walk to the water where you can go paddleboarding. Amazing sunsets.
Close to the ferry it is an ideal campsite!
The toilet and wash facilities were first class and very clean and tidy. Only query was that the shower was hot and not adjustable ( unless I didn’t realise). The site was quiet and well looked after.Staff at the reception were very helpful and polite
Just a 15 - 20 minute drive to the Harwich ferry harbour. The pitches and the site in general are calm and decent. Toilet and showers need an update.
