Easy to access from A77 and a friendly welcome. Not as close to Maybole as expected - a long walk down the hill and a killer coming back against a wind! The facilities are a bit dated with a number of niggles like the taps in the cubicles stay on for a fraction of a second only and while this is fortunately not the case in the showers the water was very hot with no obvious temperature control. Cleaning of toilets and cubicles could be done more frequently. The number of washing-up sinks is definitely inadequate for the number of people wanting to use them - only two!Sorry to be a bit negative but I am comparing with other sites we have visited in Scotland. The grass and grounds in general were well kept.
This is a lovely site with views to countryside. The facilities are immaculate and unlike caravan club sites the owner is relaxed about trivia but still maintains a very tidy and organised site .Fully serviced pitches are wonderful We will be back
Facilities are excellent and well maintained. Managed by owners who are friendly and commited to achieving a high standard. Our first time on the site but would look forward to a return visit.
Great little park for a quiet break, would benefit from a little shop on site for milk, bread or some local farm produce etc, but this honestly does not change my opinion as there is a co-op in the town. Swimming pool is fab and staff are so welcoming and helpful.
An enjoyable stay as always & lovely welcome by the McAuley family
Complained to south Ayrshire Council and ranch holiday park should do the same. Field inches away from us sprayed with slurry on a Saturday of a busy bank holiday weekend everything stinking of excrement, no matter how much tents have been aired and sprayed, new tents are stinking of manure, everything ruined, car interior still stinking a week later, every item of bedding, mobile phone covers, iPad covers, chairs, tables, fridge, every single item of clothing had to be washed, all stinking. Had farmer informed the ranch and they informed us in advance, we would have packed up and left. Lovely place, lovely staff, but the stench of manure still on brand new tents at hundreds of pounds, not worth it. Ruined weekend aswell as ruined tents. Field was sprayed the full day on Saturday of a busy bank holiday weekend on a packed caravan/campsite.
Myself, husband and wee boy popped down for the May bank holiday weekend. The weather was lovely and the park was quite busy. This was our 4th visit to The Ranch since we started with our touring caravan last year. We absolutely love it there. Our wee boy loves going swimming, playing in the play park and up at the playing field. The staff on site are so lovely and helpful. The Ranch has become our default site to visit. Great base location for days out with lots to do nearby. A very relaxing and friendly atmosphere any time we have visited
Have stayed on this park quite a few times over the years and never fails to impress.Been a few changes over the years, but all to the good. The park is well laid out and facilities are great.Toilet block always clean and open. The park has easy access from main roads and close to Ayr town centre about 15mins away. Found the staff very pleasant and helpful as always.
Pleasantly surprised how well kept and spotless the site is with friendly helpful staff, and butiful saroundings, we will going back without a doubt many times, plenty to see and do within a few miles so you'll never be bored, Excellent cheers .
Absolutely brilliant stay and the staff couldn’t be more helpful all the pitches were fully serviceable and the shower block immaculate and modern we will definitely be back first free weekend
