We came as a stopover onward to Mull, but were very pleasantly surprised at the facilities and options. We couldn’t stay but would definitely consider it in future.
everything you want from a motorhome pitch, clean rest rooms with excellent facilities, pitches are fabulous with seating areas with fresh flower baskets on tables. Truly excellent value for money with top notch restaurant and bar on site and only an hour from home, we will be back without a doubt !!!
Staff were friendly, however no undercover dog areas at the pub was disappointing. Had I known the pub wasn't dog friendly I would likely not have booked. The toilets were not clean, with one blocked and no warning sign. I never saw staff checking the site either during our stay. Biggest concern was the lack of a security gate. At £35 without electric for a pitch I would have expected some sort of security on the site entrance.I have given an average review as that’s what it is. At £35 there are better sites with more cared for facilities and site staff to ensure all is in order.
Very nice clean and tidy, lovely grounds - staff very accommodating, just a lovely place to stay.
This was a handy place for us to stop. We were the basic campervan pitch which was all we needed . Got a clean shower and to empty our loo. Would return fir a quiet night sleep. Rained the whole time so would like to return when dry some time.
Stayed for 1 night, great size pitch, lovely grounds all very well kept, stables beside site, clean toilets and showers.Restaurant very welcoming and food was 1st class, staff friendly and attentive.Picnic benches at each pitch, overall a lovely stay we will definitely be back
Lovely site. Clean facilities. Easy to locate. Well laid out pitches, not too close. Will definitely be back. Thank you
Lovely facilities, well presented. The local town Bishopton, is an easy 10min walk.Laundrette has some issues, you have the money timer and the washing m/c timer; you MUST ensure you put enough time on the money timer so that it exceeds the wash cycle or you return to a half load done. Whilst the site is not big, they need more than one as a family next to us was monopolising the machines.Showers - clean - no push button rubbish, but because the doors are not hinged at the end (inset 25-30cm), your cubicle space is severly restricted - who ever designed this did not use it first; design flaw.We live in the southwest, but if passing, i would use it again.
We found the experience strange, but good value for a stop near Glasgow. No clear directions for check in, - to go to the hotel reception or not- we didn’t.We stayed in the unserviced hardsatndings, which are behind the shower block. There are numbered pitches with a picnic bench, which is a bonus. However the feeling was of staying in a car park surrounded by horse boxes and possibly staff/long term pitches that were noisy and let their dogs roam freely. The actual main site looked lovely and well kept. The showers and toilets were clean, but not plentiful for the potential 60 pitches (4 cubicles and 3 showers in ladies, similar in gents). They were clean, but no accessible loos- very low and no rails.Place promotes its green credentials, however staff were putting recyclables in the general waste (as most people did) and the main buildings are covered in plastic foliage. The decor was a strange mixture of Trump Towers meets the Godfather! Lots of gold horses heads.
The site is very nice, nice surroundings of fields and horses which make it a peaceful location, just 20min walk in to the local village. The restaurant is very nice, Great food and service, no issues at all, Would say the only thing that lets it down is the paddock’s toilet and shower block, more let down by other users not respecting it and keeping it clean and tidy, had to be one of the worse kept toilet blocks I’ve seen. I would advise the staff to visit the block more often to keep it clean.
