This has to be one of the most peaceful sites I've stayed on. The pitches were very well spaced apart and the site well looked after. It would definitely be a 5* if there was a shower block.Will most certainly be visiting again.

For us. This is the future of Caravan in this small site is amongst the best we've ever been on and we've been caravanning continuously for 42 years. Everything about this site is just right. First of all it is the right price, we caravan 30 weekends a year, and we have been using a mix of Caravan Club rallies and club sites. I've even run many events ourselves and the prices are ridiculous. The big two clubs have their place but not for me. This site has spectacular views and everything we need, Quiet but near everything you could possibly want in Rutlands small towns and villages.Its clean and very tidy and clearly well run, but the best bit is the clear understanding of the needs of our wildlife, if you know you know. I'm not a great advocate of the David Bellamy awards for ecological excellence, but this site would win one hands down. the owner has taken time, land and huge effort to make this site as wildlife friendly as possible and at the expense of more pitches.

Beautiful location

We have been to The Paddock previously with friends and returned again as a couple on our own, site is clean and tidy. Location is excellent for cycling around the water and local towns. Pubs are in a short distance away.

A really well kept and tranquil site in a beautiful area. So much to see we shall have to return. Excellent meal at The Fox too.

We have now stayed in this site four times and every time we have stayed has been excellent. The first time we started coming that was about ten years ago (back then mostly just field with electric) but now it has every thing we wanted hard standing, electric and no children so just great.The other great thing is you book on line are able to pick the pitch so do not have to rush there as you know the place you would like will not be taken.

Brian was really helpful when we realised our cable would not reach the hookup and guided us around the site to find a spare to extend ours. Short drive to excellent dog walks and restaurants. Really quiet peaceful site with large plots and plenty of privacy. Will definitely be back! Thank you

this is a lovely quiet site with very large pitches and a very nice owner Jason who welcomes you onto the site. Although the site is very close to Rutland water it is more suited for bike riders as it’s a good 2.5 miles before you can get anywhere near the water, due to it being a conservation area. But if you just want a peaceful getaway on a clean and tidy site with maples of space then you cant go wrong. You have to be self contained as there are no toilets or showers, but that’s reflected in the price.

The communication was excellent from the start, I didn’t have to make contact myself everything was smooth. The pitch was excellent with loads of room and great views, we had all the facilities we needed all close by. We were welcomed by the owners and given very useful literature which helped us with our stay and where to go.We like to cycle and the site is perfectly positioned for that as it’s more or less on the Rutland cycle route. Great value for money.I think dogs should have a designated area rather than doing their business everywhere, I know owners pick up very well but it’s still unpleasant watching dogs weeing everywhere, it’s unhygienic.Great site though and we do intend to return.
