The Paddock is in a perfect location to explore Rutland Water. There was lots of information in the hut and the person that stopped by (from the campsite) was really helpful and friendly. We would definitely come again in the future.

A beautiful peaceful place to stay, with views over Rutland Water.An easy walk down the hill to the nature centre with amazing views of the ospreys nesting (and video screen to see close up)Short cycle ride to the Horse and Jockey for a drink, not to mention the Fox for an amazing meal. All very tidy and well presented, and although fairly basic (no toilet or shower block), it had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Can't wait to be back!

Our first visit here & definitely not our last. Beautiful site, well spaced pitches. Close to Rutland Water & lovely walks. Enjoyed the viewing platform for peaceful contemplation. Owner very friendly & helpful. Looking forward to returning!

A beautiful, quiet, well maintained site with lovely views over Rutland Water. Plenty to do in the area, especially if you are interested in birdwatching, and even if not, take the Osprey cruise on a Wednesday evening on the Rutland Belle.The owner is friendly and comes round each day.Do visit it.

We enjoyed the spacious spots and quiet surroundings of this lovely campsite, for us excellently placed to enjoy cycling around Englands smallest county of Rutland. The recently added recycling and chemical waste area add to the site, without distracting from the feel of camping in an open area.

This was our second stay at the Paddock and as always a really lovely stay. Site is easily accessed from the A1, flat, well kept and well spaced out pitches. Plenty of water taps around site, the addition of the new bin store / elsan point / info hut is really tidy.Jason calls round to say hello soon after arrival with info on the local area, really friendly and helpful.The site is really peaceful, well located to walk the southern shores of Rutland Water and close to local towns / amenities.It was the June heatwave when we visited and we had sun from sunrise to sunset on our pitch! Perfect for us!I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site to anyone and we will definetely be back again soon!
