The Paddock at Rutland water is an adult only touring caravan and motorhome retreat for the discerning traveller. Set in 4 acres, with 15 generous grass pitches you can be assured of a relaxing and peaceful stay.
Walking and cycling around the reservoir is a wonderful way to pass some time whilst taking in the views and spotting rare wildlife.
There are many local amenities and with the villages of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford a short drive from the site you have everything you need for a memorable visit.
Visit local attractions and eateries, including the award winning quintessential Fox country pub, located only 3 miles away in the quaint village of North Luffenham, booking advisable.
Rutland is the smallest county in the UK and with the appropriate motto Multum-in-Parvo (Much in little) there is something for everyone.
It is because of these reasons we are normally booked up well in advance therefore to ensure you are not disappointed, book your next stay with us today.
As we do not have toilets or shower facilities on site, guest’s need to be self sufficient in this regard. We do however provide chemical toilet emptying facilities, recycling provision, mains water and electric hook up points (optional).

Really enjoyed our 3 nights here. Having good sunny weather also helped but the site is so well positioned and maintained that it would be hard to fault it. You could see Rutland water from our pitch, but there is a viewing platform provided at the bottom of the site which provides superb views. The owners are so helpful and attentive. We had an electrical problem on our first night with what turned out to be a faulty appliance and they quickly attended the site to help sort it out.The grounds are very well maintained and the pitches good sized and nice and level. Lots of water taps and excellent elsan point and recycling. In fact couldn't find fault anywhere. Will happily return.
Camp site lovely and clean area beautiful
Excellent as usual. Ideal location for Rutland water and the many lovely villages. Would highly recommend.
Lovely part of the country, with expansive open sky's. Quiet site.
Very peaceful campsite. Easy access to Rutland Water and the wildlife centre 10 minutes walk away. Found it a little expensive as no toilet/shower. But overall a lovely place.
The Paddock is in a beautiful location, ideal for a quiet and relaxing stay while being close to the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust centres at Manton and Egleton. The Fox, just 3 miles away serves excellent food while Oakham is only 5 miles distant. The site is well maintained with generously spaced hardstanding pitches convenient for EHU and fresh water points while the Elsan Service Point is protected by a wooden shelter. Both Brian and Jason are friendly and helpful and ensure their guests feel welcome during their stay at The Paddock.I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent value 5 star site and look forward to our next stay here.
The title sums it all up! Jason was very welcoming and had plenty of helpful tips and suggestions. The site was very well kept, with clean waste and recycling facilities. We hope to return in the autumn.
Every year the facilities get better. Its kept beautifully
We have been to The Paddock on several occasions as it is a beautiful, peaceful site with all the basic amenities. The local walks around Rutland water are brilliant, particularly for bird and wild life watching, and Brian and Jason are always friendly and helpful when they pop in to say hello. Local pubs including The Fox are excellent and you can walk to the garden centre for a lovely lunch. We are already booked in for 4 more visits this year!
Lovely site. Well looked after. Very good on recycling and emptying regularly. All under cover and cleaning of toilet. Lots of leaflets on where to go. A great look out covered over so you can sit and look at the water. Plenty of space with pitches. Depending on which pitch you are on you can see the water from caravan etc. We were lucky enough not to have anyone park in front of us until our last day. Was lovely to see the sun on the water and the views. Good to be able to choose your pitch before you go. Jason who owns the site came round on the evening we arrived to say hello and did that with everyone. Would definitely go back again in the future.
