The Paddock at Rutland water is an adult only touring caravan and motorhome retreat for the discerning traveller. Set in 4 acres, with 15 generous grass pitches you can be assured of a relaxing and peaceful stay.
Walking and cycling around the reservoir is a wonderful way to pass some time whilst taking in the views and spotting rare wildlife.
There are many local amenities and with the villages of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford a short drive from the site you have everything you need for a memorable visit.
Visit local attractions and eateries, including the award winning quintessential Fox country pub, located only 3 miles away in the quaint village of North Luffenham, booking advisable.
Rutland is the smallest county in the UK and with the appropriate motto Multum-in-Parvo (Much in little) there is something for everyone.
It is because of these reasons we are normally booked up well in advance therefore to ensure you are not disappointed, book your next stay with us today.
As we do not have toilets or shower facilities on site, guest’s need to be self sufficient in this regard. We do however provide chemical toilet emptying facilities, recycling provision, mains water and electric hook up points (optional).
All reviews featured on Campstead.com have been submitted by genuine customers who have stayed at the park.
Easy access, great comms, tidy well presented site , reasonable price AND its adult only!
This is a lovely site in lovely surroundings and not too far away from several pubs and a local well stocked village shop only three miles away. The main attraction may be Rutland Water with numwerous activities, especially the 20 mile cycle round the lake which has a wide variety of ground from tarmac to quite rugged terrain and a few short steep hills. We enjoyed our 4 night stay, but did not make any new friends, possibly due to the spaciousness of the site. Well recommended.
Really lovely. The fox pub isn’t far for a good meal. Garden centre close by. Great for cycling and walking
Wow - it’s amazing. When we arrived we couldn’t get over the huge pitches and fantastic location so close to Rutland Water. We loved the peace & all the birds that we could hear from our pitch. Jason was an amazing host/ owner. He couldn’t do enough for us, giving us information about how we could maximise our stay. Lovely local eateries too with The View next door and The Fox down the road with it speciality Steak & Ale pie which my husband can’t stop talking about. A really special place. We’ll definitely be back.
Only 12 miles from home decided to book so we were 1/2 way between home and my parents as one had a hip replacement and we needed to help for a week
A great place for adults to enjoy peace and quiet in amazing surroundings overlooking Rutland Water.Site is clean and tidy and all pitches now have hard standing. A good place to walk or cycle around Rutland Water and great for going to the RSPB Visitor centre which is in walking distance. All in all a magical place to stay and that is down to the enthusiastic owner who keep the place immaculate and ensures a great time is experienced at The Paddocks.
Always a peaceful and enjoyable stay here. Garden centre cafe close but a real bonus.
Easily accessible site with well laid out and spacious pitches. The site was very well maintained and the owner came around each day to meet new arrivals and also provide a very helpful information booklet.
This was our 4th stay and is absolutely our favourite site. Peace, relaxation, fabulous location, lovely big pitches, and spotlessly clean and tidy. Owners and friendly and welcoming. Could not wish for anything more.
From the minute we arrive, we knew we were going to love this place.Lovely peaceful setting with very big pitches and plenty of places to walk with our dogs from the site.Very helpful owner who wanted to make sure that everybody had a good time.If you are in a motorhome one tip would be to bring your tow car if you have one as there are so many beautiful places to explore nearby and plenty of pub. Bringinga car would be very helpful.
