We stayed here to cycle to York and back, this was a nice route, flat and accessible. Pod was clean and the addition a heater and light was good. Shower blocks were nice and the staff were friendly and helpful Great bacon sandwich in the cafe

Alder camp site is a wonderful place to stay.After a very very wet winter the site was mud free and had fantastic drainage. The toilet and showers were always clean with plenty of hot water. I never had to queue for a shower and I love the fact you have a large room to yourself with a shower , washbasin and toilet in it. There is a lovely dog walk round the whole campsite and cross two fields to walk your dog. The cricket club is just next door to the site and it allows dogs so you can go for a drink on an evening. The campsite has its own cafe offerings lovely home made cakes and drinks. The village itself is a delight to walk round and you could images yourself in the village where Miss Marple lives . It even has a book exchange telephone box .

We’ve been coming back to “our Happy place” regularly for a few years now and it never disappoints. Great staff, with really good facilities, a fabulous new cafe and welcoming Cricket club.

Peaceful, friendly, great facilities. Warm and clean. All the team are so friendly and helpful. Love coming to this Park.

Wonderful site - beautiful location and so much space. John and Rachel are wonderful hosts. The cafe is a great addition - the Victoria sponge is especially worth a mention!

We love the Alders as it is local to us and has become a firm favourite! It is very well run and maintained by lovely people... what more could we ask for?

All I can say is everything was spot on from get go the directions from home to site the distance from York literally 15 min drive the site is clean spacious and secure with a cafe well thought out site and the staff especially the lady who booked us in was Absolutley spot on all staff friendly We have stayed at many sites before as campers quite new to the camper van life this is a definate revisit spot My review won’t reflect enough the peace and quiet was perfect site was one of the best sights I have ever visited Seeing is believing book this site, you will not be disappointed I will be booking direct next time Thank you thank you thank you
