There is a warm Dales welcome waiting for you at Studfold caravan, camping and glamping park. Whether you’re a family with children, couple, or sole adventurer, you’ll love the Nidderdale Experience. There’s so much to enjoy, and wonderful surroundings to relax in.
We have 38 extra large, flat, well-drained grass pitches for tents, caravans, camper vans and motorhomes, 26 with electric hook-up. And we have four locally made, exciting glamping pods, situated at the edge of the field, each able to sleep a family of four (two adults and two children), or a maximum of three adults. The pitches and glamping pods are organised for maximum space and comfort for all, and are very near to the large, level play area for children, perfect for ball games and running around. There is also access to the beck trickling alongside the campsite where children love to play and build dams. Fun for the little ones too, but they will need an adult with them.
Our outstanding facilities include electric hook ups, sparkling-clean toilet and shower block, as well as undercover cooking and socialising shelter (invaluable in wet weather), fire pits and WIFI vouchers. We also have the wonderful Nidderdale Way Cafe run by Julia, where you can enjoy an easy, delicious breakfast, as well as homemade snacks and treats throughout the day (weekends and local school holidays only).
What sets Studfold apart from other sites is that there is so much to do, on and off the site. Our famous Adventure Trail, renowned for its fairies and celebration of all things nature is part of Studfold, and is a fantastic family attraction, right on your caravan, tent or pod doorstep! If you book the Trail online as part of your stay you will get 2 days of entry for the price of 1 (dependent on the Trail being open).
The Lost Earth Adventures activities are also readily available. And there are many beautiful walks, of all ability levels, starting from Studfold. You’ll find an amazing Yorkshire Dales base at Studfold for exploring Nidderdale and North Yorkshire.
The pods have lighting, electric points and are fully insulated. Suitable for up to 2 adults and 2 children.
The increasingly popular, warm, dry and deceptively large camping pods have arrived at Studfold. Situated in the Caravan and Camping Park the Studfold Pods promise to offer a whole new experience.
The pod has lighting and is fully insulated. Inside there are two bed bases that can be used as singles or fastened together to for a double, with plenty of carpeted floor space for a further two mattresses (please note that you will need to supply your own inflatable mattresses and bedding). A kettle is provided along with a small table and two electric sockets. Outside there is plenty of room for parking, a picnic bench, a fire pit and breath-taking views. When staying in one of our Pods you have complete access to our camping facilities which include -Washing machine, Freezer for Iceblocks, Wifi, Family room and Baby change.
Please note: There isn't any mobile phone reception or ariel TV reception on site, however, internet service can be accessed by purchasing a WiFi voucher from reception.
No pets allowed in Pods 1, 3 and 4.
Pod 2 is a dog friendly pod, without bed bases. It has the same facilities as the other pods but no bed bases. Visitors can bring 1 clean and well-behaved dog. The dog must not be left in or around the pod on its own, it must be kept on a lead and walked off the Park. This pod also has an outdoor ‘dog pod’ kennel.
Suitable for up to 2 adults and 2 children.
Guests should leave the pods as they find them.

All pitches are grass, flat and well drained. Electric hook ups are available. Dogs are also welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
The park consists of two acres of flat grassland with easy access and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. All pitches are grass, flat, well drained and extra large. Electric hook ups are available but appliances should be specifically designed for caravanning or camping. The pitch fees include showers, deep sinks and hair dryers in the ladies' facilities.
There is plenty of space for touring caravans, tents and motorhomes and we are particularly keen to welcome families. Dogs are also welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times and walked off the site.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Toilet block is small but clean. There’s lots to do nearby. The pitches are kept clean and are large and all our party was next to each other.
We had the best weekend, really great place to stay, everyone was really respectful and followed the rules, which is great especially the curfew rules. The toilet block was kept nice, clean and tidy and the facilities were really nice. We really enjoyed the lake too, the children loved exploring down there. We would 100% return, we can't wait for our next visit.
We stayed as a group of 4 families. All other pitches were respectful of the site rules and quiet times. The showers and toilets were always clean and well stocked with toilet roll. The shower cubicles had a wall separating the shower and dry area which is perfect! The pitches were HUGE (7,8,9,23) the pot washing area provided washing up liquid and sponges which was very handy. The staff were also always really friendly and its a great location for the gorge. Also easy to access by car and a pub in genuine walking distance . Great wifi/phone reception on EE, none on any other network. I bought the WiFi from reception and it worked perfectly in the field!
Perfectly fine site in a pretty location, however, probably wouldn’t return given there is better value for money available. Trail was nice, but dated and shabby in places and an additional charge. Whilst camping is about being off grid, being in a location with zero signal and then charging campers £5 for 2gb for the internet feels a little like profiteering. Bathrooms basic but clean, push button showers.
We love the site and have stayed before. This time it was a busy bank holiday weekend, and to be honest, the facilities can’t cope with so many at once. The womens showers didn't drain adequately so the floor was swimming in dirty water. I think it’s great so many families have gone back to tenting…and I hope this comment is useful, it’s not meant to be over critical.
2nd time back here and will be going again next year. Facilities are outstanding. The pace is immaculate. Un touched and beautiful location
A really great place to stay. Very friendly and polite staff, especially Ian. We turned up and forgot butter, when we asked and shop didnt have any in. He got it from the nearest town overnight for us to get the next morning. Great campsite, clean and well laid out. Lots of information upfront that really helped, around the best way to get their and wi-fi etc.The kids loved it, and the fairy walk was really nice. Only feedback from the kids is, can they have a few more bits on the park. Apart from that we’ll definitely be back.
Campsite is well set up for families with spacious pitches, well thought out facilities including a family shower room, spacious washing up area with dish soap & sponges, freezer, washing machine, play area and river access.Beautiful, peaceful location with plenty to do without going very far.Midges were an issue on our first night but not the second.
Fabulous location.Excellent facilities everything you need showers and wc are very clean.Very small shop. Nice cafe decent choices.Fairy wood trail is Excellent for young ones.
The facilities are always clean, large pitches and the most gorgeous views. Our children are 14 and 10 and still love doing the fairy trail and ordering a picnic from the cafe. We’ve been coming to Studfold for over 10 years and it is definitely our happy place 😊.
