There is a warm Dales welcome waiting for you at Studfold caravan, camping and glamping park. Whether you’re a family with children, couple, or sole adventurer, you’ll love the Nidderdale Experience. There’s so much to enjoy, and wonderful surroundings to relax in.

We have 38 extra large, flat, well-drained grass pitches for tents, caravans, camper vans and motorhomes, 26 with electric hook-up. And we have four locally made, exciting glamping pods, situated at the edge of the field, each able to sleep a family of four (two adults and two children), or a maximum of three adults. The pitches and glamping pods are organised for maximum space and comfort for all, and are very near to the large, level play area for children, perfect for ball games and running around. There is also access to the beck trickling alongside the campsite where children love to play and build dams. Fun for the little ones too, but they will need an adult with them.

Our outstanding facilities include electric hook ups, sparkling-clean toilet and shower block, as well as undercover cooking and socialising shelter (invaluable in wet weather), fire pits and WIFI vouchers. We also have the wonderful Nidderdale Way Cafe run by Julia, where you can enjoy an easy, delicious breakfast, as well as homemade snacks and treats throughout the day (weekends and local school holidays only).

What sets Studfold apart from other sites is that there is so much to do, on and off the site. Our famous Adventure Trail, renowned for its fairies and celebration of all things nature is part of Studfold, and is a fantastic family attraction, right on your caravan, tent or pod doorstep! If you book the Trail online as part of your stay you will get 2 days of entry for the price of 1 (dependent on the Trail being open).

The Lost Earth Adventures activities are also readily available. And there are many beautiful walks, of all ability levels, starting from Studfold. You’ll find an amazing Yorkshire Dales base at Studfold for exploring Nidderdale and North Yorkshire.

Outstanding site

Walton, David - 12/06/2025

Best campsite I have been to, spotless shower and toilet block. Pet friendly. I have stopped here many times with my children when they were young and they loved it. Set in beautiful countryside with lots of excellent places to visit and stunning walks on the river. Lovely pub in the village (Crown) and about 15 minutes from Pateley Bridge town. Wonderful walk around Scar reservoir. An absolute must for families and single campers you will not be disappointed.

First visit, impressed!

Winstanley, David - 06/06/2025

Chose Studfold Farm for a quick Sunday night visit in the campervan as its only an hour from home. Very quiet that night- sunday end of ½term hols. Check in easy- we asked to be allowed on site a little early as we had a lunch booking, fairly flat pitch which we changed to be nearer hook-up as id forgotten the extension. Both requests- no problem.Clean well appointed facilities. Wonderful, peaceful surroundings. The pub in the village is excellent for both food and choice of drinks. Recommended +

Lovely location

Brown, Rebecca - 05/06/2025

This campsite is great for families, it's surrounded by great days out and theres even a little climbing frame on site and an area for ball games. We spent the weekend here as we were looking for somewhere more sheltered than the top of the next village and we were very happy with our stay, the toilet blocks were cleaned regularly and equipped with push showers, changing space, mirrors and hairdryers, theres even a mop for when you've finished in the shower. The campsite is flat which is great for tents and theres a little river behind which is easy to get too and great for the kids to burn off some energy although very slippery. Theres even a bad weather shelter for everyone to gather in to cook and relax if the weather is bad. There is no signal but WiFi can be bought at a hefty price but it's nice to escape the reality and completely switch off. The closest cafe offers fantastic breakfast at affordable prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are back again in a few weeks.

Perfect family site

Fay, Rebecca - 22/05/2025

Clean facilities and easily accessible pitches. Great play areaNo phone signal so you'll need to purchase WiFi from the owners if you need to stay connectedA discount on the Fairy Trail would be a plus for campers and would inspire us to come back sooner. The full price fairy trail on top of camping made it an expensive weekend. This being said - we loved the fairy trail and it's brilliant for children.

Great location and facilities

Copperthwaite, Christina - 22/05/2025

5

The campsite is in a great location and the facilities were really good. The site was child friendly and close to activities for them. The only things I would want to see improved was the signage/information on waste and recycling, and the cafe by reception needed cleaning better. There was some confusion about opening hours too which almost derailed our check out plans, but not the end of the world.

Beautiful, peaceful campsite

Jones, Karin - 21/05/2025

Beautiful walks from peaceful campsite. Family friendly but intimate. Well-spaced plots. Quieter back field. Lots of fires and BBQs on our visit, particularly in front field, which could be problematic with smoke coming into tents etc. Fairy walk great with younger kids. River Gorge great for older kids, if supervised. Dogs welcome. Wifi £3 a night, £5 for 2, £10 for week. Fantastic old pub and church at Middlesmoor. Book ahead for food. Friendly local pub hotel at Lofthouse which caters for vegans/allergens with prior notice.

Another lovely stay!

Humphries, Marianne - 17/05/2025

We’ve been coming to Studfold now for a few years. I have stayed both as a family, and also as a group of friends. The setting is idyllic and the facilities are very clean. Although there are rules to keep the site running efficiently and accessibly for all…you do feel like you are given space and not hovered over like in some other sites. We normally stay in a tent, but recently stayed in a pod. It was clean and warm. The picnic bench is a great asset as we didn’t then have to bring a table and chairs. Over the years we have done the fairy adventure trail, visited Howstean Gorge, found a lovely hidden waterfall and spent time in Pateley Bridge. These are all fantastic places to spend time, making the campsite a brilliant base for exploring. We look forward to coming back again!
