Studfold Caravan & Camping Park

4.7 (66 reviews)

Unforgettable holidays are made at award-winning Studfold in the Yorkshire Dales. This is camping, glamping and caravanning at its best. Nestled in the emerald-green patchwork of the Yorkshire Dales near Pateley Bridge, you’ll enjoy breath-taking views, fantastic amenities and the freedom to relax with extra-wide pitches. There’s a warm, good old-fashioned Yorkshire welcome too.

There is a warm Dales welcome waiting for you at Studfold caravan, camping and glamping park. Whether you’re a family with children, couple, or sole adventurer, you’ll love the Nidderdale Experience. There’s so much to enjoy, and wonderful surroundings to relax in.

We have 38 extra large, flat, well-drained grass pitches for tents, caravans, camper vans and motorhomes, 26 with electric hook-up. And we have four locally made, exciting glamping pods, situated at the edge of the field, each able to sleep a family of four (two adults and two children), or a maximum of three adults. The pitches and glamping pods are organised for maximum space and comfort for all, and are very near to the large, level play area for children, perfect for ball games and running around. There is also access to the beck trickling alongside the campsite where children love to play and build dams. Fun for the little ones too, but they will need an adult with them.

Our outstanding facilities include electric hook ups, sparkling-clean toilet and shower block, as well as undercover cooking and socialising shelter (invaluable in wet weather), fire pits and WIFI vouchers. We also have the wonderful Nidderdale Way Cafe run by Julia, where you can enjoy an easy, delicious breakfast, as well as homemade snacks and treats throughout the day (weekends and local school holidays only).

What sets Studfold apart from other sites is that there is so much to do, on and off the site. Our famous Adventure Trail, renowned for its fairies and celebration of all things nature is part of Studfold, and is a fantastic family attraction, right on your caravan, tent or pod doorstep! If you book the Trail online as part of your stay you will get 2 days of entry for the price of 1 (dependent on the Trail being open).

The Lost Earth Adventures activities are also readily available. And there are many beautiful walks, of all ability levels, starting from Studfold. You’ll find an amazing Yorkshire Dales base at Studfold for exploring Nidderdale and North Yorkshire.

Peaceful scenic site

Melling, Helen - 31/05/2026

We loved our stay at studfold. The site is small and so nice and quiet with very generous sized pitches. Showers sometimes not very warm but it was hot when we stayed so a cool shower wasn’t a bad thing. My only suggestion would be for the fairy trail to be included with your stay. We thought it was included if you were staying on the campsite. Or if nothing else offer it at a reduced rate. Crazy golf was reasonably priced and really good fun.

Beautiful peaceful campsite with good quality facilities

Allen, Jude - 30/05/2026

Everything at Studfold was fantastic and we would absolutely recommend the campsite to others and we will return. The only additional thing that could help improve the site would be a shop that provides a little bit more by way of food basics like milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt etc. But otherwise everything was brilliant and the adventure trail exceeded expectations. Such a beautiful experience.

Back to basics

Pearson, Gary - 21/05/2026

We absolutely loved this site it was so quiet and extremely peaceful. It’s not a site where the hedges are cut and the grass is cut within an inch of its life it’s just real honest site that fits in really well with its surroundings. There is so much to do for the kids including a cracking little pedal kart track all within walking distance. There’s walks on site and play areas for the younger kids and then there’s the gorge for the slightly older with wire walks across the gorge to kayaking and a cracking little gift shop. The site has a cafe and a little shop that sold the essentials which was very convenient the toilets and showers were extremely clean the elder point was well places and the pot wash area was spotless overall it’s was spot on

We'd booked to stay a night here on the recommendation of a friend and wish we'd booked longer. It's a really lovely site with great views and well thought out facilities. I've already recommended it to three other friends and hope to be back soon.

Perfect

Hird, Stuart - 21/05/2026

It was our first trip away in the campervan and it was an excellent site for us to try out van life. The pitch was flat and spacious. EHU was very close so there wasn't a long trailing wire.Facilities were clean and well presented. There was plenty for the kids to do and plenty of space for them to play. The stream was a real highlight for the trip for them! The trail was really good, everyone enjoyed it as well as the mini golf.We will be returning again no doubt!

A Super Weekend Getaway

Ventham, Darren - 21/05/2026

We stayed for a short break. On arrival the site was very tidy and had clear signage, we checked in quickly, and where made to feel very welcome. The pitches are very generous and well kept, and the toilet and shower facilities very clean and tidy. A fantastic setting with plenty to do. We also visited the Studfold Adventure trail, and played Crazy golf too as well as using the cafe and shop. All in all a lovely place and lovely people, will be returning again for sure.

Cracking weekend!

McCulloch, Robert - 14/05/2026

We had a lovely stay at Studfold. The facilities were excellent, clean, warm and easily accessible. The Teddy Bear trail was really fun for the kids and mini golf under cover saved us on a rainy afternoon! The cafe was brilliant, especially the very fairly priced options for children. The local area has two outstanding pubs within easy walking distance, would highly recommend for a family break!

This site is perfectly placed to offer something to everyone; couples seeking either peace and quiet or long walks combined with adventure! Families are well catered for with an exciting programme of events for the younger ones. The facilities are spotless and the two local pubs are very welcoming. We will return.

Super Weekend

Palmer, Mike - 30/04/2026

Wonderful location, lovely large level pitches and immaculate toilets and showers and washing up area. Sadly the cafe was closed but hopefully will be open when we next visit. We did visit the How Stean cafe which was good. We know the area very well from running and cycling there for many years so we can recommend walking on Dale Edge up to Scar House reservoir and the green lane from Middlesmoor. Had a nice meal at the Crown Hotel in Lofthouse which is rather quirky and has been for decades! but food and beer are good and the service friendly. We can thoroughly recommend a stay at Studfold and look forward to our next visit. Thank you.
