Studfold Caravan & Camping Park

4.6 (91 reviews)

Unforgettable holidays are made at award-winning Studfold in the Yorkshire Dales. This is camping, glamping and caravanning at its best. Nestled in the emerald-green patchwork of the Yorkshire Dales near Pateley Bridge, you’ll enjoy breath-taking views, fantastic amenities and the freedom to relax with extra-wide pitches. There’s a warm, good old-fashioned Yorkshire welcome too.

There is a warm Dales welcome waiting for you at Studfold caravan, camping and glamping park. Whether you’re a family with children, couple, or sole adventurer, you’ll love the Nidderdale Experience. There’s so much to enjoy, and wonderful surroundings to relax in.

We have 38 extra large, flat, well-drained grass pitches for tents, caravans, camper vans and motorhomes, 26 with electric hook-up. And we have four locally made, exciting glamping pods, situated at the edge of the field, each able to sleep a family of four (two adults and two children), or a maximum of three adults. The pitches and glamping pods are organised for maximum space and comfort for all, and are very near to the large, level play area for children, perfect for ball games and running around. There is also access to the beck trickling alongside the campsite where children love to play and build dams. Fun for the little ones too, but they will need an adult with them.

Our outstanding facilities include electric hook ups, sparkling-clean toilet and shower block, as well as undercover cooking and socialising shelter (invaluable in wet weather), fire pits and WIFI vouchers. We also have the wonderful Nidderdale Way Cafe run by Julia, where you can enjoy an easy, delicious breakfast, as well as homemade snacks and treats throughout the day (weekends and local school holidays only).

What sets Studfold apart from other sites is that there is so much to do, on and off the site. Our famous Adventure Trail, renowned for its fairies and celebration of all things nature is part of Studfold, and is a fantastic family attraction, right on your caravan, tent or pod doorstep! If you book the Trail online as part of your stay you will get 2 days of entry for the price of 1 (dependent on the Trail being open).

The Lost Earth Adventures activities are also readily available. And there are many beautiful walks, of all ability levels, starting from Studfold. You’ll find an amazing Yorkshire Dales base at Studfold for exploring Nidderdale and North Yorkshire.

Excellent stay even when weather isn’t best

Nettleship, Steven - 08/04/2024

Excellent site and facilities, only Comment would be to have hard path from gravel road to toilet block this would stop muddy feet in the block. That said toilet blocks were amazingly clean at all times. The Cafe is excellent, expect Yorkshire portions :-)We did the Fairy Trail, don’t think this is purely for children, this was just two adults and a dog and we loved it. We will be back, this time hopefully in better weather but that’s Yorkshire for you and we can’t fault Studfold for that.

lovely stay

Park, Hannah - 07/04/2024

We really enjoyed our stay in the pod and have already talked about coming again. The pod was warm and clean. The staff were very friendly. The facilities were clean. Nice powerful warm shower. We felt safe and thought the location was good. The Easter fairy trail was very good. We spent a good few hours enjoying our time on the land and enjoyed our picnic that was delivered to us. We will return for another stay. Thank you!

Fantastic!

Whiting, Amy - 05/04/2024

Fantastic stay! This is our 3rd year at Studfold and we have enjoyed each and every one. The only critism I have is that the toilet/shower block always feels cold and there doesn't seem to be a good supply of hot water.

We had a long weekend at the site and everything was fantastic. The location is great, with loads of outdoor activities nearby, with walks and pubs as well. The facilities were really good and well cleaned and maintained. We will return to camp there again.

We will be back!

Bloomfield, Rose - 25/09/2023

Really enjoyed our first stay here. We were in our camper van with family staying in a pod. Pitches were spacious, with lovely view over to Middlemoor. Facilities were always clean and well stocked ( you dont often get washing up liquid and sponges provided).Nice little shop and cafe and a lovely barn to gather in. All staff very friendly and helpful. The childrens dventure trail was really good value and just as entertaining for us adults. Five mins walk takes you to the spectacular How Stean Gorge, we were the only people there in torrential rain and still had a brilliant time. So much more to do in the area, we will be back!

Another Great Stay.

Cowley, Allan - 22/09/2023

4

Excellent camp site with very clean amenities. The reason it is 4 ⭐️ rather than 5 is that the showers are push button and fixed to the wall rather than staying on and removable. I fully understand why sites use these but some don’t and I prefer that.

Lovely little site

Patrick, Anna - 21/09/2023

Lovely little site, clean toilet and shower block, could maybe do with more showers - only 2 in the ladies as far as I could see. Amazing views from the site, lovely quiet setting, no phone signal which was actually quite nice! There is a pizza oven advertised on the website so we bought all our ingredients for 8 of us only to be told when we got there it didn’t work, quite annoying so maybe the website could be amended. A really good camping shelter down by reception for groups to gather if raining, this is genius, wish more sites had this facility. Over all we had s lovely stay and the fairy trail is brilliant.

Friendly staff & beautiful surroundings

Stephenson, Leigh - 20/09/2023

Brilliant set up no complaints just sad we had to cut it short as the weather was so hot it took the pod to dangerous temperatures through the night & we couldn’t stay another night , our 2 year old loved the fairy walk , the cafe serves delicious food , facilities are spotless & it’s only 7 mile from a village and 2 mile from a lovely pub We will be back next year with a fan or fly screen so we can leave the pod doors open through the night 😀😀
